That was supposed to be here at 5. It's now 9:15. It's one of H's past students that's driving through Knoxville and wanted to know if we wanted to have dinner. We offered to let him stay here instead of the base. He got stuck in traffic, but never called for some reason. H called him twice.
We finally left to eat at 7:30 and of course he called at like 8 and said he was still coming. So we headed back home and there's still no sign of him. We ended up just getting beer so we'll just hang here and drink.
I think I'll probably just go to bed early since I don't even know the guy. Strange night.

Re: We're home waiting for this guy...
First - oh. wow, that is so annoying. annoying as ALL get out really. especially since you guys are being nice in the first place and really waiting for this guy- out of courtesy b4 moving on with your evening. Essentially, you're now "obligated" since you were nice...ugh. and there goes your sat night waiting around....
Second - yes, when i'm waiting for someone who should be there any minute OR is late and could (& should) be there already....too funny, YES, i'm on guard & waiting for the knock or call any second...& the "poop break" is out of the question. LOL - & unfortunatley for me, in those situations, that's when I feel the urge to go!!
not cool...
i'm late to post...but i'd love to hear how it all panned out...

He finally got there at like 9:40 or something. We just sat around in the basement and talked for a bit. He and H had some beers, but I was tired from white water rafting earlier in the day so I went to bed at like 11:30.
Rocking good time, LOL!
Ugh, pet PEEVE. I hate it when people are late, especially that late, and you have to sit around waiting for them...LOL about waiting to poop, that is so me too. Haha.
My DH isn't awful about being late but is still not great about being on time and I like to be early to everything. It stresses me out so bad, I just wait by the front door asking "You ready? You ready now?" I hate being late to things.
