Where to stay in Omaha?
We are thinking of going to the zoo and children's museum sometime in the next month or so. Last summer we went, we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn next to some mall and it was ok. We didn't venture out much because Olivia was cranky and well so was DH. LOL We are going to plan our time a little better this time and hopefully will leave the hotel for more than to catch dinner! Any suggestions on where to stay? Preferrably around some kid freindly restaurants or sites. Thanks!

What about the Courtyard, right about the same area? We've stayed there several times, and really like it.
We don't have children yet, but I can't really think of any restaurants in the downtown area that are kid-friendly, other than Spaghetti Works. I'd page the girls on the Omaha board - because most of them have children, they would be able to chime in a bit more.
