So, as I said a few weeks ago, we aren't going to NC.
DH was really upset, very understandable - so he looked for jobs, applied to three jobs last Monday night.
Monday at 10 pm he gets an email from one of the jobs, the guy wants to speak with him tomorrow morning. Erik did a phone interview on Tuesday morning, Tuesday afternoon they call him back to set up an in person interview for Friday.
Wednesday morning he gets another call for an interview for another job to also happen on Friday.
Friday at the interviews, he has job offers one for less than what he makes, the other for a little more than his current salary.
Obviously, he took the later offer. I get a call at work that goes like this ...
me - hey, how did it go ?
him - don't be mad, they offered me a job and I accepted
me - okay, I trust you, but you know what that means
him - longer commute ?
me - no, babies.
him - okay, we'll talk about it later ( usually he avoids it )
ha. so we were driving/doing errands and he starts saying, babies need this, babies need that, its so much, we shouldn't have kids in NoVa ... to which I say - babies only need as much as you provide for them, I'm 28, each year I get older the cardiologist tells me I am increasing my risk of having kids ( been telling me this since I was 25 )
so ... he ponders and says, okay, babies can " appear in 2012 " ha - ain't he romantic.
Re: updates of such ( l o n g )
Such a way with words.
Sounds like you've got a plan in motion though, good luck!

In my mind, I'm seeing "APPEARING IN 2012!!!" on an old fashioned theater marquis.
And, hey: new job, more money, sounds good!
no no - i meant " no, babies " to be " no " to his answer about a longer commute and that this meant now we could have kids.
Well yay for making the decision! And you know, if you started now, you'd definitely have a 2012 baby
Congrats to Erik on the new job!
