Crying after Sex?

First of all I have full faith in my husband, I know he loves me and I love him deeply. Secondly, we're only using condoms as preventative.

Okay, you know that. Now, I would like to say that because of the condoms we have to cut cuddling afterward short so he can clean up. I don't know why but as soon as he pulls out, I'm blubbering. My eyes just well up and I cry. I have no idea why! Anyone else feel this ever?

  • Aww....:)

What you've got is endorphins and an emotional release.:) Perfectly normal.

My H and I use only condoms too and we don't cut cuddling short unless we're both ready to get up. Granted we don't cuddle that long cause I have to go pee so as to avoid UTIs.

  • It's not as uncommon as you may think.  I cry occasionally.
  • Sometimes my fiance and I get really into it it lasts over and hour and then we both finish and I am bawling my eyes out. I have no idea what it means either! I have attested it to maybe we were very emotionally connected at climax?

He has to go clean up afterwards as well, but when he sees  that I am crying he will come and just hold me until I stop. I feel silly for crying, but I really think it is just an emotional connection. Physically, it's probably because of all those stupid hormones we women have. Grrrr...

  • I've only cried after really big g-spot O's (which don't happen that often for me, so I'm jealous!). It's the emotional/endorphin release.

Ditto this.  We snuggle for a few minutes, then take care of things, and then get back into bed and snuggle more.

  • This has happened to me too. For a long time I thought I was alone but then I found an article one day about it on AOL. It said sometimes it happens because of hormones or that's how some react to have the big O.
  • I do some times too :) I guess its normal LOL

Yes, actually it's quite normal. As a PP stated it's a release of hormones.

Yep, us too. It doesn't have to be either/or.

  • Phew, okay thanks guys, except for that last response - I feel much better. I was so worried that something was wrong with me! Yay for hormonal girls who make  other hormonal girls feel better. =P

  • Crying is perfectly normal. It's the emotional and hormone release. It's medical - not just that you are a blubberer lol

A great orgasm and connection certainly aids it. Just let your DH know that you really enjoyed your sex life, it causes such a rush of emotions and release in you so you cry and you need a little extra cuddling/holding afterwards. There is no reason that you have to cut cuddling short.

  • I am not much of a cryer or a drama queen, especially when it comes to sex. But on rare occasions I have cried immediately after sex (or an orgasm) and I have no idea why I am crying. I'm not sitting there thinking "that was so beautiful" or anything.. I just start crying. (but I never let him know lol)

  • if i have an intense orgasm i started, my husband used to get freaked out but now realizes that he did a good job and therefore struts around for a few days after
