my neighbor who has two boys who are much older than my girls was having a yard sale yesterday. I really didn't want to go, since I figured it would be mostly boy things and I didn't want to have to tell ava "no" to everything she touched. But Ava was a bit restless while we were waiting for friends to come over, so I walked the girls over to look at the books, and they did have some little kid ones that we snagged. I didn't haggle prices ($1 ea.) because the seller was the 11yr old and he got to keep what he made off the books.
the mom told me that she was thinking about us because she has a step 2 playhouse cottage in the back that obviously no one uses anymore, but she didn't want to drag it to the driveway. She wondered if I would be interested in purchasing it. So the girls and I went to the back with her to look.
it was adorable - thatched roof, a flip down table that nestles between two built in seats, a phone, etc.
she said she paid $250+ for it, and would like $25. SOLD! Her husband and mine can probably walk it across the street together. I paid her and we'll work out plans to pick it up this week. It needs a powerwash.
hers is a little different probably because it's older, but the closest one i can find on their site is $419:
