holiday weekend plans
Anyone doing anything fun for the 4th of July weekend? I know some ladies are gearing up for their first anniversaries (wow, can't believe it!). What is everyone up to?

Maybe I am a little ahead of the game posting this, but we just made our plans last night and I am excited.
DH and I are going camping with some friends at the Yough in western PA. We are going to rent a shredder (a 2 person raft) because it has been way too long since I kayaked a class 3 river and I have lost my confidence to boat it! I am looking forward to being on the water and hanging out by the campfire at night!
We'll be home for the 4th, so I am hoping we squeeze in a bbq and fireworks somewhere!
We're planning to go and visit DH's cousin and the triplets! It's been far too long since we last saw the babes...I'm excited!

You made my wedding day complete.
We are headed to Cleveland for my niece's HS grad party on Saturday! I'm excited to see a ton of cousins for a happy occasion, and to see my niece's band play (she's in a ska band, that is really pretty good and has played a few bigger venues)!!
Other than that, I hope to see some friends and just hang out with family on Sunday. We are driving back fairly early on Monday... so will hopefully see fireworks around our house somewhere.
And we are sort of extending the weekend into Tuesday... we are going to see U2!!
Probably not too much. We are sticking close to home, because this is the first weekend in a month we haven't been out of town for at least a good portion of the weekend. Plus, starting next weekend, DH is going to be working crazy hours, including weekends, de-tasseling corn. Since its our only "free" weekend until probably August, we are keeping it low key.
We are going to go to fireworks at some point. Saturday night, my favorite local band is playing at the winery nearby. I'm thinking we may call my brother and SIL to go with us, maybe grill out with them before.
we have a bbq on Saturday with all the guys Derek works with, which will be nice...and I'm making cupcakes of course
Sunday is our anniversary and we still don't have anything planned....lame, I know! But with Derek having been away so much, and me having gotten prego, our original idea to go to Hawaii got canned....and now we've got nothing

Monday we're doing 4th of July on base....they make a huge deal of it and have some pretty amazing fireworks from what I understand, so I'm excited!
