lawd halp me (tuesday post)
good morning ladies. the most dreaded day of the week is upon us. however, i am super busy so hopefully time flies. and it's jessie's birthday, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FRIEND
had a rough 2.5 mile hill run yesterday. it has been at least 2 weeks since i have done hills. tonight i am going to just do 2 miles and then do weights for an hour--i need to put strength back into my routine! if i workout 5 days a week, i can do running seriously for 4 days and then a run warmup with strength for the 5th day. i think it will help me feel better about myself.
in other news, is it the long weekend yet??
Re: lawd halp me (tuesday post)
Happy B-Day Jessie!
Can we just call this FML Tuesday? Our tenants have not signed papers because they are assuming things about the house that we never implied. So we're back to square one. And I tried to pay for groceries last night and the store wouldn't accept my check because it was TOO LOW OF A CHECK NUMBER. I went apeshit on the customer service rep (who was really sweet - totally not her fault) and the douchetastic manager (who totally deserved the new a$$ I ripped for him). Please give me a hole I can crawl in and hide. I don't want to be a grown up anymore.
Happy Birthday, Jessie!
Shauni - You and your running is awesome. But it makes me feel like a lazy fatassss.
Susie - What? Too low of a check number? When the hell did that become a rule? I would have flipped my shiit too.
I'm ready for the long weekend, fo' sho'. I felt like total *** yesterday, had a crap ton of stuff that needed to be done for a meeting at 3:00, spent all day working on it, finished at 2:58, went to the meeting and then immediately left and went home. I was in bed by 8:00 last night. I should feel better today, but I don't. I have a headache from hell and don't know what the deal is.
I'm also sort of pissed that K has to work this entire weekend so we can't do anything for the holiday. If I'm lucky he'll be home in time on Monday to watch fireworks. Wahhhh.
last year my wallet was stolen with my checks in it. i had to get temp checks while i waited for my new checks and debit cards to come in. so the only way i could pay for things for two weeks was with temp checks. and of course, safeway (mother fuckings assholios) would not take temporary checks without ID. and of course, my ID was stolen with my wallet. I showed them my passport, but that was not good enough. i cried in the middle of the safeway as they put all my groceries away. i still hate them.

Happy Birthday Jessie!
Had a bunch of errands on the agenda yesterday and ended up not feeling well and lounging on the couch for half the day until DH got home. Today I need to finish cleaning, get to the grocery store, and get more laundry done. We have a cookout at DH's work today which should be, interesting.
I am doing a 2 mile run on Saturday and potentially a 5k on Monday. Should probably get a few runs in this week.
This is my DH too. One of his bosses even called this morning and asked him to work a few more hours on Monday morning (when we were supposed to be running the 5k). I plan on drowning my sorrows quickly on the 4th and calling him to be my DD at the end of the night.
Hey thanks ladies :-)
I always sleep like crap the night before my birthday. No idea why, but it always happens.
Today is my Thursday!! Super excited about that. Got a little run in last night, went to Target and got E a new suitcase and some stuff for our upcoming weekend. Home and put a roast in the crock for tonight (yes it's going to be 95 and we're eating a roast). Then passed the frick out at 830 :-) My office is buying cheesecake for me today and that will be breakfast! Woohoo for cheesecake, then tonight hubs has a softball game and I hope to be in bed again by 830-9, I have a odd feeling that I will have hubs' radio coworkers show up and want to go out. They usually don't begin their shinanangans until 10 though so hopefully if Im sleeping they'll leave me alone!
Your passport wasn't good enough?? It amazes me how ignorant some of these establishments are.
I was so torn between just paying for them with my credit card so I could get out of there or dumping the groceries all over the counter (since they were in my reusable grocery bags) and throwing a proper temper tantrum. I was still fuming when K helped me unload the car...
Hey everyone! Long time no see. I'm working from home today because I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon, so I figured I check out how things have been going.
H and I went to my brother's graduation party. AND we managed to leave w/in 15 minutes of when we said we were going to. My mother was carrying on about how we were leaving HER party early, despite the fact that I informed her that we'd only be staying for four hours. (Apparently FOUR HOURS isn't long enough for a family party. Seriously. We got there at 2 and they didn't put dinner out until 5:30 and there was still cake, etc that we missed). She even cried about how she didn't know when she was going to see me next. Luckily, dad looked at her like she had five heads and said "We'll call them later and figure something out. What's wrong with you?"
BIL and niece are coming to visit for a week in August. He apparently wants to help us out with stuff around the house, so H and I are taking off and we're replacing our front and side walks with patio pavers, among a bunch of other miscellaneous things. H and I are going to price out material after my appointment. At some point during that week, H's family in the north will descend to see niece. I'm looking forward to it because I'm FB friends with a lot of his cousins and they all seem REALLY nice.
Oh and in awesome news, I'm taking a baking class at a local college this fall. They have a whole culinary program that I may eventually take. It might take me awhile because starting next fall, I'll most likely be taking classes for my MBA and will have to put the culinary degree on hold.
The Princess of Anything is Coming!
Had a dream I was queen.
Woke up. Still queen.
Happy Birthday Jessie!
Ladies with H's not home this weekend, I understand. Thankfully the 4th is on a Mondayb and that is Greg's day off so I actually get to see him.
Greg had yesterday off and clean the house!! He's such a good house husband:-) I made buffalo chicken pizza last night. It was sooooo yummy. I was so full but kept eating it. The left overs will be my dinner tonight.
Didn't do a whole lot else with my day, but hubby and I did go out to a great pizza place for dinner. Bacon cheese bread and BBQ chicken pizza. So stuffed every time we leave there. So bad for you, but it tastes oh so good.
I got a random email from a marketing person looking for my etched baking dishes and needed a quote. Long story short, she could be looking for quantities like 500, 1000, or 5000. Holy cannolis! I told her that with what she specifically was requesting it would probably be out of my capabilities. One dish takes about an hour of hands on time. 500! 1000! Sheesh. I probably wont hear from her again, but it was sort of a nice ego boost to even be asked.
Trying to decide what to do with my day today. Thinking I should help out hubby and mow one of the lawns... but sitting around the house working on my scrapbooks sounds so much better to me. I should go up to the internet to work on the possibility of opening an etsy shop and getting set up with some of he temp agencies too. Decisions, decisions.
Sorry for lack of paragraphs and such a long drawn out post. Thanks for getting through it if you did.
ETA: I figured out how to add paragraphs wih my phone! Yayayay! I feel much better about posting now!
Morning! Not much going on here, just busy busy with work and still need to pack for our red eye on Thursday to visit H's family in PA. MIL said it could rain and be 70s, or be 90. Greaaaaaaaaaat.
Happy birthday Jessie! Glad your co-workers are treating you with cheesecake.
Welcome back, Queen. Sounds like a lot of work! We have an area where we want to put pavers so we can have a small shed to put the mower and other gardening tools in, so I'd love some tips after you do it. (We won't do ours until probably next year at this point.)
Happy birthday Jessie!
I am tired today, another night of awful sleep. I am a b&tch on wheels and I feel like skipping the gym because it's raining.
I am also at war with MFD, we are having a fundamental difference of opinion on lifestyle. Stay tuned.
Last night I hung another five strands of lights out back. Well, nailed them to the fence. Fingers crossed I can get an electrician out this week, I need outlets outside and we've had no luck. I'm very annoyed.
Other than than I just packed lunch and gym bag and watched Mob Wives. I was in bed early but up from about 1:45 until 3:30. Hate. Rage.
QoA, nice plans ahead. Four hours is a fine time to be anywhere. Shut it mother.
Xtine - now I want buffalo chicken pizza! Holler.
Tbears - awesome on the etching! That is a great ego boost for sure.
People with husbands working this weekend: I never spend the fourth with MFD. Mummers have at least two solid days of parades. This is the first year it's NOT an overnight trip.
Happy Birthday Jessie!! Birthday goodness makes Tuesday not as bad.
I can't believe it's ONLY Tuesday. Sammy and I got up again at 3am this morning and watched Serendipity since we're still on funky France time. I'm sure my boss is loving the fact that I burned out yesterday at about 11am.
Weekend, please come soon.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESSIE!
tbears - that's frigging awesome! Can't you hire some high school students or college art students to help you for minimum wage? Maybe you CAN process that many. This could be the makings of a bigger business for you.

Quick post & run - busy at work.
Happy Birthday Jessie!
Last night after work - got home and didn't feel like running as my legs were still sore from Sunday's run. H said he took Allie dog swimming and running and she was a tired dog. This makes me happy because a happy dog = happy owner. I was kind of cranky last night but I think I might have been dehydrated. And I had a proud cousin moment...one of my cousin's was on Conan last night. I may have mentioned i a few months back that he is one of Ke$ha's dancers and I saw him on tv, I was pretty stoked. I guess he's in Europe now with her but it's always cool to watch him dance. So proud of him, he gets paid good money to dance his bootie off and sees the world at the same time.

hey all!
Tuesdays suck but at least we're 1 day closer to Friday!!!
Had a doctors appt. this morning (actually just with the nurse). They failed to tell me about the bajillion vials of blood they were going to take today. And the pee test. hmph. It sucked. I'm a baby when it comes to blood draws anyway. So as I was laying there (yes, i have to lay down), i tried to drink water since I had gone to the bathroom right before I got in there. First lady poked me had got nothing. So then had to have second guy come in. The opposite arm didn't look good, so then he had to go back to the arm that had already been poked. Thankfully he found a good vein, AND i had enough water to get the urine test done. Shouldn't they warn you about these things BEFORE you get there?!?!?
On another note, I now weigh more than I did before I started weight watchers.
scares the crap out of me since I'm already a big girl. I know i'm pregnant and shouldn't be worried about weight gain, but can't help it in my situation. So I'm going to bump up the veggies and fruits. (although the sound of a lot of veggies make me gag at this point).
In other news- it's gorgeous out today. I'm going to get my sneakers on and go for a lunch time walk.

Back in November they had actually done some tests already (blood type and to see if I was RH negative)
This time, I'm kinda wondering if they did those again, but then they also tested for hepatitis, rubella, blood count.....and something else I think but I can't remember.
