Will you offer BC to your daughter or condoms to your son?
Re: S/O Teens and sex
I will. My mom talked about it frequently with me. It wasn't an uncommon or uncomfortable subject at our house. I went on the pill at 16. My parents also told us there was a basket under the bathroom sink that had condoms in. I know I used some of them, but I was also terrified of getting pregnant.
DH parents on the other hand FLIPPED out when they found condoms in his dresser. He was 19 and going to UNF.
Don't you just love this? YOU'RE HAVING SAFE SEX!! OH THE HUMANITY! Sorry...I realize that some people don't believe in pre-marital sex but I'd be happy to know that my 19 yo son was being responsible.
Absolutely, 100%. He better not be knocking anybody up. Even the prettiest, most normal girl can have an STD and I'll tell him his di*k will fall off if he doesn't use protection.
Ok I'm not really going to go that far, but yes, I will give him condoms.
Yes. I agree with your logic DP, but I know a lot of my friends when I was a teenager were horrified at the thought of buying condoms, so they'd just go without. I'd rather know that my kid has access to them if they're going to be sexually active.
But yeah, ask me this again when B is 16.. who knows what I'll say when I actually have a teenager.
