We still don't have a surgery date, but it will indeed be in July. The surgeon was going to send her to a cardiologist before scheduling the surgery to make sure she could handle it and she told him if she died waiting for the surgery she would haunt him. I guess he laughed so hard he cried, but he called her PCP and spoke with him and now she doesn't have to go see the cardiologist first. We are still waiting for her surgery date. They will be doing a carotid artery endarterectomy vs angioplasty.
She has an appt tomorrow with her PCP regarding the Lyme and muscle disease. We'll find more out about her prognosis on that. She seems in good spirits and is supposed to try to remain stress free to keep her blood pressure down due to her carotid artery issue. It is 80% blocked right now. We'll (Alexi, Mariela, and I) be going up this weekend to visit her. My mom won't come up until the day before her surgery whenever it is scheduled.
Re: Update on my Grammie
I love that she told the Doc she would huant him, she sounds like a real firecracker
.
I hope the surgery is soon and that she has a nice easy recovery!
I was thinking this, too. Keep us posted, Heather!

All of this. Plus, let me know if you need anything - I think she is only like an hour from us, and that is not too far for me to drive to help out a friend - if you need a meal, help with M, etc, you know how to find me!!
All of this. I told J what she said to the DR and he laughed too. He said she sounds like a fun grandma.
