I am currently a paralegal. I am taking classes in nursing (it will be awhile, about 2 to 3 year) before I graduate. Things at my job are bad. I can explain in another post at a later time.
My current job doesn't really have any transferable skills- I type complaints. Period end of story. No programs (we use outdated ones), etc. My prior job is really where most of my skills come from for any jobs I am applying to.
I am willing to take a secretary job in the medical or any field. I believe this would give me more skills than what I do now. (I am willing to take a pay cut, I work and live in two states so this will not really be an issue once all things are considered).
What do yout think? Is this a bad move? Would I really be downgrading? I don't think so and people in my life don't. But I really need an outside perspective.

My Blog
This is what I am hoping for. I'm sort of in limbo.
Good luck!

I'm an hrd in healthcare and just wanted to say with working to become an LPN you will be limited to where you can work/find work...most hospitals no longer hire LPN's and surprisingly LTC/SNF's are not hiring LPN's anymore...better to take your time and spend the $$ and get ASN if you want to become an RN.
Good luck!
