Great reason to not look for a job....
so you can attend the fireworks in Detroit!
Saw this on Click on Detroit:
"I lost my job on April 20, and I didn't want to look for a new one
because I didn't want to ask for the day off," Cristy Vargas, 44, of
Sterling Heights said.
Vargas arrived at 11:30 a.m. Monday with
coolers, blankets and chairs. She used yellow caution tape to cordon off
a section for her family and friends, some of whom she has met at the
fireworks in past years. Among them was Maxine Stallworth, who wasn't
going to let the chance of rain ruin her trip from Grand Blanc.

geeez.
There was some Michigan lottery thing on Channel 4 during the fireworks coverage and the guy who won the 250k prize had quit his job to go have a chance to win the money because they wouldn't give him the day off. I guess he'll look for a new job and has some money until then, but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't quit just because they wouldn't let me take a day off.
I thought the same thing!
