I went to a nice dinner w/ DH and received 3 flower arrangments at work that day.
Next year - I plan on at least having an alcoholic drink!

Losing it...Without Losing it
My birthday was a couple of weeks ago, and I didn't really celebrate, just dinner with DH and a few drinks with the girls. I still can't drink like a rock star, so I am putting the celebration off until October.
Next year I will be turning 30, so I don't know what we will do, but it will be good!!
Last year I was at a friends wedding for my birthday! It was a blast!
Next year I plan having a party at my house for me and a good friend (his birthday is the day after mine, we usually celebrate together every year). It should be a good time! There has been talk of a margarita machine this year

This past Bday kinda sucked. H got home from work late and we just took the baby to dinner. She got fussy and we went home.
Who knows about next year. H & I want to take a mini baby-less vacay earlyish next yr & my bday is in June so.. maybe that?
10 Years Later
We didn't do much for my birthday since we had just gotten back from the honeymoon that Sunday. We went to dinner and saw The Hangover Part 2.
For my next birthday, I would love to have a BBQ at our house.
Last year DH and I went out to dinner and then to Ikea to buy a bookcase.
My birthday is tomorrow and I am working -- bleh. My mom is in town, though, so I will be going out to dinner with DH, my mom, and ILs. Nothing exciting.
I came up with this question.....and now I can't remember for the life of me what I did last year! I took the day off.....but I think DH worked. Did I go shopping? I absolutely can't remember. Must have been a good birthday, lol.

This year I think I will take the day off and pick up my old tradition of going to the Ann Arbor Art Fair(s) that day. Then home for a nap, and out for dinner.
Last birthday I was in Ohio for my family renuion. My family tried to kill me the night before at the bar so on my actual birthday I didn't leave the hotel room until it was time to go the bbq dinner around 5.
This year we are camping with friends for the weekend. So on my birthday we will be driving home.
I didn't really do much. I usually hang out with a friend whose birthday is the day before mine. We celebrated w/ my parents & had my favorite cake (cassata cake) since it's close to Mother's Day. I always intend on planning a night out to Gigi's in Detroit, but I end up blowing it off. I don't really want to plan my own birthday party. I don't expect anyone else to do it either. I need to work on being more of an AW I guess.
IDK about next year. It's not really a big deal & I don't plan that far ahead.
I can't remember what we did for my last birthday. I always have great birthdays though, so I'm sure it was fun!
This year, I am thinking a pedicure or a spa day would be nice since it's less than two months from my due date.
This year was pretty low key, I took the day off and we went to the Melting Pot and to see a movie.
Last year we went to the Red Bull Air Races with a bunch of friends, and afterwards DH threw me a party and got a keg! Guess we are old people now...lol
Last year was very low key - Jason had lost his job the month prior and I was about two months along.
This year I think we're going to try to do dinner and a comedy show.
last year we had my mother in laws funeral on my 30th bday.
this year for my 31st, i spent it taking care of my 24 day old daughter.
Last year I had dinner at Mongolian BBQ. Next year we might have a party. My birthday is always right around super bowl sunday so we've talked about maybe having a super bowl/birthday combo party.

This last year, I don't think I did anything at all on the actual day because DH had been diagnosed w/ chicken pox the day before. DH's present to me was a spa day for that saturday, so I guess you could say I did that.
We usually just do dinner and maybe rent a movie, so I'm assuming we won't do anything more than that next year. I'm not really big on birthdays.
Mommy's little helper
last year was by far the best birthday ever. My dad (who's health was just at the beginning stages of going bad) flew home from FL for the long weekend. myself, Dh, dad & brother drove to Marquette for the weekend where we met my sister, bil & 3 nieces who were on a road trip from seattle. We camped & unknowing to me, i had my last bonfire & camping trip with my dad and it was perfect. It was an amazing trip & the only thing missing was my mom (she had to work & couldn't come up). We saw the fireworks over Lake Superior for the 4th and it was amazing!! the whole weekend was great!
My birthday is this upcoming weekend (sunday). I have mixed emotional feelings about the weekend because i will be thinking about last year but i will survive. I will either be drinking alot (if i get a bfn) or silently glowing
if i get a bfp. we are going to hazel park race track friday night for the race & fireworks, saturday going to a friends house for a party/bbq for her bday & then sunday we are going to downtown mt clemens for the stars & strips festival. monday I'm off so that will be recovery day.
fireworks hold a special place in my heart because of my bday so i hope to see as many as possible this year.

RPL tests reveal MTHFR mutation(1copy)-adding Folgard & BA and moving forward.

Beta#1 8/21/12: 11, Beta#2 8/23: 71, Beta#3 8/25:174
9/4-seen sac/yolk, 9/7-9/12 hospitalized for a ruptured cyst causing massive internal bleeding.
9/11-seen HB!! 9/18- no HB, 9/21/12-D&C. Fetal tissue testing revealed a healthy boy. Now getting more tests to try to figure out this mystery
We were driving home from a trip to Baltimore on my birthday last year. I made us stop at Cracker Barrel for lunch, I wasn't going to have Ohio Turnpike food for lunch & dinner!
Not sure about this year, I still have 3 months to decide. It's on a Tuesday this year, so DH will be out of town for work probably, so who knows what I'll do.

On my last birthday I turned 30. My sneaky DH had apparently been planning a party for me for a few months...I have no idea how I didn't pick up on it at all, but I was 100% surprised when I walked in to my house with a couple girlfriends who just "wanted to go to a movie and grab lunch" on a random Saturday morning and saw a bunch of my friends and family! He had the party a couple weeks before my actual birthday. It was a great day!
ETA: No clue what I want to do for my next birthday, but it's in two weeks and DH has been asking, so I guess I should try to think of something!

It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!
Beta #1 (9dp5dt) = 206, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) = 438
1st u/s @ 6w5d = 11/11/11 = ONE little bean! HB 120bpm!
?Our Baby Boy Born June 26th, 2012?
On my last birthday, we had a week old baby boy to take care of, so it was very low key. We ordered grinders from a local pizza place and DH's grandma made a cake and came to visit.
My next birthday will be the big 3-0, so hopefully we will have some sort of a celebration with friends and family. I'll leave the plans up to DH (but drop hints, of course!).
Last year: on my actual birthday I went to urgent care to get diagnosed with strep throat. Fun...We also went out to dinner with friends at Monoglian BBQ after I recovered.
This year: We are going out to eat with my family at a BBQ place we love.
