What are yours?

Where are fireworks being shown this year?...the landing, the beach...any local high schools with firework displays?

    I thought I heard something about a ban on fireworks because of the fires... But with the rain, that may be off now. Anyone know?

    I'm heading to Tampa with a girlfriend for some R&R.

    We're taking Michael up to meet the rest of DH's family and will spend the 3rd and 4th on the beach in Plymouth for "unofficial" fireworks. One of the neighborhood guys has been taking trips to Pennsylvania to buy fireworks and apparently has a storage unit full of them. Of course I'll most likely be trying to get Michael down at that time. Fun.

    I think we are going to try and grill out and spend the day pool-side.  Then off to the fireworks downtown.  Nothing terribly crazy I don't think.

    We'll be taking advantage of the day off to paint the house. We probably won't go anywhere to watch fireworks.

    To answer your question, they do them in St Augustine too. You can get a seat at or near the fort and they do them over the river.

    We're dog sitting MIL's dog so we're staying in town. We're going to a couple BBQ's and hanging out on our friend's boat. If they do fireworks I was going to see if DH wanted to go to The Cummer. We haven't been there since we got married...but we might just watch from LPS/Fidelity since we can park there w/DH's work pass.

    I just decided today that Salty and I are packing up and going to my Nanny's a little north of Montgomery for the weekend. Idk if we'll do fireworks, but my cousin will be there so he'll probably know where to go.

    Seventh Anniversary
    We are going to Las Vegas for the long weekend. At least that was the plan until my boss cancelled everyone's leave for this week and next based on big events going on here at work. I don't know what I'm going to do since we have flights bought. Maybe I will just have to buy another ticket to come home earlier, which would mean I'll be on a plane while you all are watching fireworks.

    I'm working on Saturday morning.  Sunday we're going down the Ichetucknee and Monday I'll actually be in Jacksonville for a friend's birthday party.

    I really want to go downtown to watch the fireworks. DH has off work for the first time in at least 5 years so hopefully we will find something fun to do.

    Our plans depend on how much studying DH gets done this weekend as he has an exam on Tuesday. If he gets enough done we'll probably head down to the beach for a little while, then get dinner somewhere cheap and beachy, and then watch the fireworks.
