My baby girl is 15 months already and had her check-up yesterday at the pedi's office. She is doing great developmentally and is even ahead in some skills (language especially). She weighed in at 20 lb 3.5 oz and is now in the 10th-25th percentile which the doctor was happy with. She is also 31" and in the 75th% for height. Long and lean like her Papa still. She is still testing as anemic thanks to the in office toe prick (they did it twice to be sure), so when we go to get her lead test (required by our state) we also have to get extra viles drawn and a full panel done on her.
Her doctor really wants to find out why she's anemic since infant iron deficiency anemia should've probably resolved itself by now. He wasn't overly concerned and said that if it is genetic, certain kinds would just mean her iron will always run low and even giving her extra vitamins won't necessarily help her. If she has another kind and we constantly pump her with extra iron trying to get her levels up, it could actually hurt her. I tried to take her yesterday, but they were closed so we won't do the bloodwork probably until Saturday at the lab and then they'll call with the results. I hate having to wait so long, but those labs are a PITA to get to when they close at 4pm everyday and are so crowded in the mornings before work. And now here are some photos for her Aunties for reading the update...
Multi-tasking (I'm not a bad mom, I swear! I literally looked away for a minute to talk to Alexi and looked back and she was out!):

Her new love = Barney:

Papi is hilarious!

And a comparison- 15 months vs 5 months:

Re: PW: Mariela update PsIP
Sorry to hear she's anemic, but it sounds like she's happy and healthy otherwise.
I love the pic of her passed out in the high chair. So adorable. Oh, and your high chair is so pretty, lol.

she is so big and cute!
The lead test sucks (But lucy had hers at 11mo) hopefully M does wonderful with it!
I hear it sucks. We had to do a vein blood draw twice already for her other anemia checks and i cried the first time and teared up the second time. I actually spoke with my SIL and she told me to take her to the children's hospital lab as they were fantastic with her son for his labs, so I'm going to try to take her tonight to get it over with.
Aww, i hope everything goes well with the tests. Gianna has to get bloodwork done 2 weeks before her 1 year checkup in August and i'm dreading it like you wouldn't believe. I cry EVERYTIME she has gotten a shot. I even cried when they pricked her little heal at the hospital in front me when i had her. I can't control it. I start shaking and the tears just start coming. Her Dr. even asked me if i was ok the last time cause i must have looked horrible, lol. It's so sad though!
Good luck to Mariela and you!!
Oh and she is soooo pretty!!! I can't believe how big she is! I still remember you telling me you were having a girl, like it was yesterday!
