Hi,
My DH and I just relocated to Greensboro (from West Virginia) so I thought I'd see what my fellow nesties could suggest for things to do. We don't know anybody in the area and I'd like to change that.
I would love to hear suggestions on things to do/places to go so we can get to know the area and the people.
Thanks so much!
Re: New to Greensboro
Hi!
My hubby and I live in NW Greensboro and have lived here for over 10yrs. This is a larger city that has the feeling of smaller close knit areas that blend together. We really love the area! If you could tell me where in GSO you live/work I would be happy to give you advise on the who what & where of Greensboro. Feel free to get in touch any time!

Small world! :-) Do you happen to do anything with the MU Alumni club in Raleigh?
Hello and welcome.
There are lots of gardens/parks/trails around if you are interested in that type of thing. Walking around downtown when the shops are open can be fun as well. If you like beer I would check out Natty Green's. If you like wine, there are lots of wineries outside of town, some closer than others.
No we haven't done anything with them. My husband had quite a few friends down here that were MU grads so we would meet up at bars to watch games, but a lot of them have moved.
Hi there and welcome! DH and I have been living here for around 6 years now and unfortunately, I still don't have many friends, but my job makes it difficult to commit to things. If you guys are church goers, that might be a great way for you to meet some other young adults your age (obviously, I'm sure you've seen that we have plenty!), but depending on your interests, you might have some luck with the running/triathlete/cycling community. You might also consider some civic groups.
I was thinking about getting a Trivia Night group together. Do you live in the NW part of town or one of the other areas? Dh and I will probably scope some places out first and see who might have good crowds.
I grew up in Greensboro (in the NW area) and have a lot of friends/ family still in the area. All of my friends go to and really like Tuesday night trivia at Lindley Park Filling Station. They also sometimes go to Harpers on Thursdays nights. They don't like that as much but say it's still pretty good.
