reputable places to sell an engagement ring

a friend asked me about selling an engagement ring. i know of a place in vienna, but thought i'd check in with my nesties :-) anyone have any words of wisdom here? tia!

  • thanks hollace, that's actually what got me thinking about it. most jewelers don't buy used jewelry though, right? admittedly i don't know much about this!
  • I noticed in Boone & Sons ad in the Sunday paper this week that they apparently buy diamonds.  They're a reputable place and were very pleasant to deal with when we were looking for ring settings.

  • When we were shopping for rings, I went to Pricescope.com and bought the diamond from the diamond lists that all jewelers share.  I then got the setting at a local jeweler (Gary Gosnell).  Maybe you can somehow get the diamond on a shared list via a local jeweler/jewelry appraiser?
