Sorry if this has been discussed. I looked and didn't see any posts.
Has anyone received the horrible text message going around? DH got it from a family member today.
FWD: ATTENTION!: White people must report to the cotton fields tomorrow morning at 6:30 am for orientation. Thank you.

I got a variation of it yesterday...
It had inauguration day as the time whites were to report.
Disgusting, but I wasn't surprised at all by the person who sent it to me and thought it was, "hilarious."

But i doubt its a virus. I would expect this from the sender. And tons of people have recieved it and they all said its from someone they expected it from.

I think some crazy racist moron sent this off in an email or text thinking it was "funny" and it got to more crazy racist morons and it became a viral thing...
Trust me--the person who sent it to me was exactly the person I expected to send something like this. I almost threw my phone when I read it. ugh!
umwife, is this the same Facebook person?
If so, I would unfriend immediately. Both on facebook and IRL.
Soprano--yup, it's the same FB guy, the same one that sent me the awful texts and here's the kicker--the same guy who was pretty gracious with most of the communication we had yesterday.
I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt because of 15 years of friendship, but some things are really, really hard. Who knows what'll happen next?
