Welcome back! I've been trying to restrain myself, and give you time to settle back in, but I can't hold on much longer! How was your trip? Any tips for those of us about to follow in your footsteps?

Re: **Nittany**
haha I was just coming on to say I was home and ask any questions you may have! :-)
The trip was amazing!!! We had some bumps in the road, but all-in-all, it was absolutely amazing. I can't pick one city as a favorite though..they were all so different and awesome in their own ways.
Tips...
Take wrinkle releaser..that stuff was a a life saver! I used it every day.
We actually packed our clothes in ziploc bags within our suitcase and this made moving from one city to another SO much easier. I had all of my shirts in one ziploc bag (We got the big 2 gallon ones), all underwear in one, etc. I loved this because when I needed something, I just needed to pull that bag out and didn't have to upend everything in my suitcase.
Have comfortable shoes!!! I think it's going to take my feet some time to recover!
Take a reusable water bottle. Water is SO expensive there! In Rome, they have water fountains you can use to fill your bottle up with.
Stay away from the guys trying to give you a rose..they just want money.
Hmmm...any specific questions you have?
Thank you so much! I'm so glad to hear your trip went great! I'm very excited, but starting to get a little bit nervous, so hearing it went well for you helps! Did you guys check luggage or carry-on? I think the wrinkle-releaser tip is great, I'm just wondering if I can find a bottle that's smaller than 3 oz? Glad to hear the ziploc bags worked well for you, we actually asked for packing cubes for Christmas, and I think it's along the same idea. I bought some comfortable shoes, and have worn them a few times, I just hope they're comfortable enough. I definitely plan to bring my CamelBack bottle, so it's good to know there are places to fill it up in Rome!
A few other questions I have:
1. Which cities did you guys visit again?
2. Did you speak any of the languages of the countries you visited? Did you find that to be a problem?
3. If you don't mind me asking, do you have a rough estimate of how much you spent on food per day?
butting in...
I'm glad you posted this because we are also leaving next week for london, paris, and rome! So any other tips you may have will be great!
ktwed- if you find a small bottle of the wrinkle release let me know!
We checked one bag so we had more room to take more stuff.
I didn't find a 3 oz bottle, but I would suggest getting one of the little empty 3 oz spray bottles from walmart or wherever and pour the wrinkle release in there so that you are under the 3 oz.
We visited Rome, Sorrento, Capri, Florence, Venice, Lucern, Paris
We didn't really speak much of the language...just a few phrases that we thought were important. In the major parts of the cities, they pretty much all seemed to speak some English..enough to get by just fine.
The food part is kind of tough to say because all breakfasts and a bunch of our dinners were included in our tour. But for lunch, I would say estimate about 5 euro per person. We couldn't always find the water fountains so sometimes we had to buy water and that can range anywhere from 1 euro to 3 euro which adds up FAST!
Thanks! Ok, a few more:
1). How was your tour? Were you glad you decided to do it that way?
2). How did you guys pay for stuff? Did you use mostly cash, or did you find most places will take a CC?
3). Was it insufferably hot?
4). Any must-sees or must-dos in Rome, Florence, Lucern or Paris?
Found one on Amazon:

I have a small bottle that I got in the travel size section of target (they are all like $1-$3 or something.
That's good to know! I tried CVS and Stop and Shop yesterday, but couldn't find a small bottle. Maybe I'll run out to target today! Thanks!
