International Cuisine Recommendations
What are your favorite Austin restaurants for non-American or Tex Mex food (we can exclude Mexican too since it's so common).
I love, love, love Madam Mam's for Thai and Tam Deli on Lamar for Vietnamese sandwiches.
I like Indian but haven't really found a restaurant here that I like.
I always eye that Ethiopian restaurant off of 35 right by UT - has anyone been there? We're going to Washington, D.C. in a few weeks and will hopefully be trying some Ethiopian food while we're there (apparently they have the biggest Ethiopian population outside of Africa).

"The House We Built."
A journey of building the dream.
I feel the same way! It seems like we've gotten burgers twice a week for the past month, which is a shame. We live in an awesome city with awesome restaurants, and I feel like we don't take enough advantage of trying new places.
i cannot recommend "taste of ethiopia" in pflugerville enough! i LOVE LOVE LOVE that place. the food is outstanding, the owner is so friendly. i especially love the lunch buffet, but i hardly ever get to go because i usually have to work on weekdays and can't leave my workplace.
here's their website and below that is their yelp review:

Casa Colombia is A-MA-ZING! I love that place. Plus they have these huge mimosas that are to die for.

Casa Colombia IS amazing. Their arepas are so yummy. Plus, it's in walking distance for me when I visit BF on the weekends so we eat there a lot.
I'm a big pho fan and my favorite place is Pho Van on 183/Payton Gin. Next to it is one of my favorite Chinese places, Din Ho.
My blog about starting over, dating, life and all of its awkward moments.
For Chinese: I second Din Ho, though I haven't been there in years!
For Indian: Teji's in Round Rock - seriously, seriously good.
For Thai:Thai Village or Titaya's Thai
For German/French : Fabi + Rosi
For Greek (HH!!): The Athenian
Thai: Thai Tara (downtown)
Indian: Madras Pavilion (Northern and Southern cuisine; all vegetarian); Clay Pit / Tarka (same owners); Taj Palace
Argentinian: Buenos Aires Cafe
Brazilian: Sao Paulo (near UT)
We are always looking for good places for dim sum, which my DH loves. Any suggestions??
My cousin likes Get Sum Dim Sum on Lamar and 45th. I've never been there but she works near there and goes for lunch sometimes. She says it is good.

check out today's "morgan's deals" for a grouponesque deal at "get sum dim sum".

I love love Vietnamese food so my favorite places for that are Sea Dragon (off 183 and Peyton Gin Road in the Big Lots Shopping Center); Sunflower (in the same area but on the other side of 183 in the Target Shopping Center) and for Pho (the Vietnamese soup bowls) Pho Dan (off Braker and Lamar); Pho Saigon (in the Chinatown shopping center) and Hai Ky (off I-35 and Oltorf).
I also love Greek food at Tino's (off 183 and Anderson Mill) and Indian food at Tarka Indian Kitchen in Round Rock (off I-35 and University Boulevard).
