I've been listening to/watching online at work.
I think most of the defense witnesses have ended up being prosecution witnesses.
I can't understand why Baez is so argumentative with the witnesses he calls because once the prosecution gets to them, they're relieved and grateful.
I feel badly for George Anthony.
Re: Casey Anthony Trial
Where can you listen to it?
I've been following the trial a bit. I don't understand the defense at all, and I feel horrible for George Anthony as well, he has really taken quite the beating from them.
I'm sure we'll never know what happened to Caley, but I do think her mother had something to do with it, and I hope she is found guilty. She is obviously a sick woman, and I just wish she would have sought out some help.
What do you think about Cindy Anthony and the chloroform searches?

I understand why Baez is being combative with George specifically. If you're presenting the argument that George abused his daughter and forced her to cover up Caylee's death, of course, you're going to show disdain for him. However, the problem is that I doubt that jury is buying that argument so it just looks like he's beating up a grieving grandfather.
Do you believe that George had a platonic relationship with the woman named River? I do not. I wonder if they will bring her in to testify.
The person I really feel sorry for is Lee.
I thought the meter reader came across as very credible, but I guess we haven't heard everything yet according to her former defense attorney with knowledge of the case.
It should be interesting when the prosecution calls in Cindy's employers.
The CNN homepage has a link up where you can stream it live. The Orlando Sentinel also has it available:

I don't believe that Cindy performed the searches for chloroform.
I don't think she did the searches either. And I can't believe that she would say she did, knowing that they had searched other computers previously.
I can't imagine seeing my father crying and breaking down about a suicide attempt and staying so stoic. I'd love to hear what the jury thought of Casey after the trial is over - guilty or innocent.
I can't believe she would lie either! I don't know if she thinks she will save her daughter from a guilty verdict or who knows... She's lost her daughter either way, IMO.
I would love to hear from the jury as well!

One thing is very clear: the Anthony family is incredibly dysfunctional.
I think Casey's guilty - but if she's not, they better get to work proving that the whole thing was a cover-up after an accidental drowning. You can't put that story out there and then not prove it.

I'm starting to thing that they have no intention of proving it. They're just wanting to create the tiniest bit of doubt for waht really happened so the 1st deg murder charge is out of the question.
It really is astounding to think of what she has put her family through.
I would think Cindy's work computer would show records of activity - logon/logoff times - to see when she was at work since her time cards weren't filled out correctly. It seems weird that her emails wouldn't be available three years later as she testified.
Is there any idea on what the motivation may have been to commit the murder?
My heart breaks over this case. I don't know if laws exist even, but I think there should be a law (if there isn't already) that allows parents to drop their kids off, no questions asked, if they think that for a second they might harm or kill their child. I know it is opening a can of worms to have that kind of policy in place, but foster care/adoption is a far better option than the current reality.

I'm listening too...she sounds ridiculous!

I think she started to realize that her daughter could very easily get the death penalty. And she thinks lying about the searches might save her from that.
I don't know about law, or law in Florida, but we have it here. If you feel like you may harm your kid or do something you'll regret, there are crisis nurseries you can drop your kid off at no questions asked for periods of time. My mom used to volunteer at them, and rock babies. I don't think there's any specific law about it, just services provided.
I've been watching this case since July 2007 when it hit Nancy Grace every single day. My head is about to explode from all the lies! This Krystal Holloway stuff is a complete joke IMO- she denies the affair and then back tracks saying it happened...while selling the story to National Enquirer. Hum. I definitely think Cindy lied about doing the chloroform searches just to cover Casey's behind. I just can't believe Casey's family would do any favors for her at this point after she has drug them all through the mud repeatedly. Family is family, but she would have been cut out of my life a long time ago if I were them.
I'll just be waiting for the Lifetime movie!
