So, lady, how was the trip to France?  Exciting times.  Hope you get to have a nice relaxing weekend to fully recover.  Big Smile

Re: ~Kaz~

  • Hey Mush!

Thanks for asking. France was amazing. We were both overwhelmed by the beauty, history and romance of it all. I fell in love with Paris (pee smell and all). By the time we took the train down south we walked our feet off. In the south we spent most of our time laying on the beach but we did also visit Eze, Nice and Antibes.

Oh and the food and pastries....yum!!

Now I know why you've gone back so many times. I already want to plan my next trip back.

Here's the view from our balcony in the Riviera. Ugh, I miss it so much.

  • Sorry that's so big!! I couldn't figure out how to make it smaller.

Any fun babymoons planned?! How is everything going with the pregnancy?

Yay!  I'm so glad you had a good time, and got to relax on the beach.  I definitely missed that this last trip, since it was cold at that point.  Your view looks amazing!  And lol, I didn't notice Paris smelling like pee!

I'll be an AW and post the view from our hotel balcony in Dubrovnik, where we started our honeymoon.  I would totally go back to Croatia.

No babymoon for us, the trip right after we got our BFP will have to suffice.  I'm trying to save vacation for the maternity leave.  H does get to go to Bejing and Hong Kong (next month) for work, so I'm certainly jealous of that!  Other than that, the pregnancy is going well.  I hope I finally look pg and not just chunky.

  • OMG!! Croatia looks beautiful. I want to go to there! Where all did you go on your honeymoon?

I'm pretty sure that the world isn't getting bigger, but my travel list keeps getting longer and longer.

For some reason I am doubting that there is any way you could have looked chunky. Especially now that your baby is the size of a mango!

How exciting for hubs to go to HK and Beijing! What does he do that brings him out there? I lived on and off in HK for 4 years. I hated it so much while I was there and now I miss it dearly.

I have a 'I want to go to there' shirt, but it doesn't fit these days.  Big Smile

We started in Dubrovnik, then to Hvar, driving up the coast through Split, Trogir, and on to Plitvice Lakes, and then this little town I always forget, but all we did there was spend the night and catch a ferry to Venice.  So then the ferry to Venice for a few days, then home.   Should have stayed longer!

H works for a computer company, as an Excel guru - at least that's the only thing I know he does.  :)  His group is going to meet the group there and maybe some customers?  It seems like mostly a perk, which I'm happy for him that he's getting.  I've always wanted to go to HK, so I'm a bit bummed that I can't just join him.  I had no idea you lived there!

Oh, and we were in your neck of the woods last weekend - visited my friend who lives in Walnut Creek.  We went to Chow in Lafayette for brunch, and then walked the reservoir with her and our puppy.  Just down for the day to visit and keep her mind off her bf being deployed.

  • I definitely need to get an "I want to go to there" shirt. Liz Lemon is SO my hero. If I could have eaten ham in my wedding dress on the floor of 30 Rock, I would have.

You honeymoon sounds perfect!! When Sam and I were planning ours, we both wanted a little adventure where we could discover new things and hop on trains (or in cars) and see all sorts of new things. It sounds like your honeymoon would have been right up our alley. I will be stealing your itinerary and planning my own trip to Croatia now :)

Next time you're in DubC and have time we should GTG! Chow's is a great brunch spot, especially when the weather's nice. There's also a kick butt cupcake shop in the little square. It is my go to treat spot and the Red Wagon has adorable baby/kids clothes.

I'm sorry to hear that your friend is getting deployed. But you must be proud to have such a brave friend. Do they know for how long?

HK is definitely a fun place. I lived up in the New Territories area, my parents moved there the day after I graduated high school and lived there until I graduated college. I spent 6 months there initially and started college late, then it was only back for summers and Christmas. I want to go back just to eat everything. You should see if DH will take you there when baby mango is a little older, you know to "make up" for the fact you couldn't go this round.
