May's surgery was last Wednesday for her ear tubes. She did great!
The anesthesiologist called me the day before to tell me that she could actually eat until 1 a.m. and then could have clear Pedialyte until 5 a.m., which helped us majorly.
We went in at 6:30 a.m. and they were great (obviously I work here, which helps). She was fussy after she came out of surgery but they gave her a suppository and she fell asleep for 3 hours and woke up like nothing happened.
As far as I can tell, her ears aren't really bothering her, but we have her 9-month well-child visit on Friday so we'll see how they look! Of course, she actually has her first two teeth rising to the surface, so now she's having trouble sleeping because of her teeth...I swear to you, this child is not going to sleep through the night until she's 15!

You really think she'll be sleeping at 15? She'll be up all night on the phone with her boyfriend!
(glad everything went well!)

At first, I tried to put an age I really thought she'd be sure to sleep...and came up with excuses for every single age, so I just left it!!! LOL!!!
Yeah, looking back at my life, I can't think of one either... as a kid, I was sneaking books under my blanket with a flashlight, then I was on the phone all night, then in college hanging out with friends all night, law school was studying all night, now I work all night. Or read or watch TV. I don't think I've slept since I was 3 months old.
No wonder I have such dark circles under my eyes.
