For those with e-readers

I don't post here because I don't have any military affiliation aside from being a veteran but I thought this might come in handy for those of you with e-readers.  Veterans and active duty military can get a free membership for the Free Library of Philadelphia.  You can download ebooks.  I got my card within a week of applying online.

  • Yes

San Jacinto? I know people who live there!

I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.

Yes, ma'am.  For about 2 years now.  I only know my neighbors!  I didn't grow up there.

  • When it asks for military ID number, is that ssn, or the DOD numbers on the back of the card?

I put my SSN. I didn't even have to provide a copy of my DD214.

  • Just got off the phone with them.  Your DH would use his social.  It doesn't apply to dependents btw.  However, if YH let's you use his card, that's allowed bc you have the same LN, but he would be responsible for any damaged or lost materials, etc. etc.

Thanks. I would be using it for the ebooks, I can't damage those!
