What's everyone up to today?

Board's super slow, I'm bored at work, and I wish it was the holiday weekend already. :P Anyone get a four-day weekend? What's going on in your world?

Re: What's everyone up to today?

  • I'm here ... Got sucked into the Casey Anthony trial today. I'm pretty tired - Margot woke up every 1.5 hours starting at 2 am. She hasn't done that since like 3 days old. She's been a little fussy yesterday and today too. Not sure if it's a growth spurt or the 4 month wakeful... Or maybe both, but it's wearing me out!

  • I'm here. Clients just left and I got myself some food and coffee. Got a motion in family court at 1:30, then a family law seminar/dinner at the courthouse at 5.
  • Currently half listening to a webinar...I'm 80% sure it's a sales webinar for a grant writing service but has some good info on available grants...I am having a hard time focusing though. I have a lunch and learn at 12 and the rest of the afternoon will be spent submitting a grant progress report. Not looking forward to it.

  • Today is our slow day at work, and I'm not sure how I'm going to keep myself entertained all day. My boss has already sent me and my coworkers two e-mails about the world's most dangerous bridges and a 4-part BBC documentary on King George VI that's on YouTube. Yes - it's THAT slow.

I feel like weeks leading up to holiday weekends drag on forever. Boo.

  • I'm here, just a little tired and stressed.  This week has been really slow at work with most of my group on vacation or not in the office.  Unfortunately, my only other teammate here is a royal pain-in-the-a$$ that can drive me nuts without even trying.  It's made the week seem really long especially since Amelia isn't home yet.  That's where the stressed part comes in - just talked to my mom and the munchkin is sick.  It's probably just a cold, so it's nothing major but it kills me that I'm not there taking care of her.  Luckily, they (finally!) come home tomorrow morning.  I'm tired because we went and saw Transformers last night and didn't get home until almost midnight.  It was DH's treat to me to help me get through another night of missing my baby.  (Yes, seeing Transformers was a treat to me as I really like the first two movies and DH really doesn't like action movies.)

  • I too am watching the trial. I'm going to take Robert for a walk in a few minutes. This morning I moped the kithen floor and paid our July bills. I also had to call the cable company to find out why our bill went up a $100. It's always fun to call and fix other peoples mistakes.

  • I'm at work today, and it's not the best day to be here.  We're losing 7 people today, since everyone is temps after 8 months the job is finally done.  It really is bittersweet, because tomorrow I find out what I will be doing, and those 7 people will be out of work.

    I hate this Sad

  • I'm at work.  Today is my Friday, and I totally have weekend brain.  I don't want to do anything, which is unfortunate, since it's my boss's first day back from vacation, so I have to look like I'm working all day.  Lame pants.

Cracks me up that your boss is sending you YouTube videos. Yay for slacking off!

I don't get a 4 day weekend, but DH's car is out of commission until he gets some parts in, and he has a gig tomorrow night so I'm going to work from home tomorrow. Which means I kind of do get a 4 day weekend :o) Although we have absolutely nothing planned except put the new lawnmower together, mow the lawn, weed-whack the lawn, and clean out the gutter....none of which I will be doing obviously. I think I need to go to the library!

  • I actually worked this morning. Man, my brain is mush! Carly was at daycare :(
  • After my failed glucose test and good Dr visit, I had a boring, but busy, day at work. I have a spreadsheet with 19,901 computers that I have to register to the buyer. We have a batch registration tool, but it really only works for about 800 at a time... So I worked on that all afternoon and will probably work on it all tomorrow morning.

Rodgers had supper waiting for me when I got home and he cleaned house. Damn right. It was his day off, so he did that after we were done at my Dr, before getting Nate from daycare.

Now I'm baking brownie bites for our 4th of July potluck at work tomorrow.
