Me too - I booked my train tix this morning ((really big smile))...same thing - I was looking, and the prices were so cheap, I jumped on it! The price will only go up the closer to the date we get...so I'm all in too..

I decided at the last minute to stay over on Sunday as well. Thought it would be fun to make it a true NY weekend!! I was thinking that I could use Monday morning to grab some photos of some popular NY landmarks before heading home
Still researching hotels though...I think I may have a winner, but I don't know. I hope to have that booked as well by the weekend...so I'll keep you guys posted!
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
Yay!! I really hope you guys can get on it! I didn't want to arrive too early in the day, as most hotel check-in hours are between 3-4pm, and I didn't want to lug my overnight bag with me all day. I did that on my last NY trip in December...uh, I was over that after the first hour or so :-)
Anyways, that was my reasoning behind timing my arrival to coincide with check-in - so that I can get there, go to the hotel and drop off my stuff and commence having a ball with you ladies!
I'm 99% sure that I want to stay at the Andaz in the financial district:

That is a bit off the beaten path, but there are 4 train stations within walking distance, so I would only be a few minutes' train ride away from wherever the group decides to meet up...Par-tay ((waving hands in the air!))

Stacy, Danielle and I will be getting on in DC, picking you up in Baltimore and then Lisa in Philly. It will be a party on the train.
P.S. Do you think we should remove the exact train info from your earlier post, you don't know what crazy people are out there.
I'll be just joining you guys for Sunday's festivities since I'm pretty local to NYC.
BUT I just wanted to say that I am BEYOND excited that you girls from a distance are making the effort to join us. I can't wait to meet you ladies!!!!

I just need something to look forward to and I love counting down to trips. My countdown is to the 17th when we all go up though, not the 18th when everyone gets together. The margarita is just for Mel :P
Uh,...very good question :-) I booked BC! It's a habit, as I normally travel business class. But no worries...we'll all be on the same train - I will find you guys :-)
Also: Mel and I chatted and decided that it made sense for us to be roomies, as our schedules match (we're both staying over until Monday). Our room is booked, so once you guys decide on a room, let us know! We're all FB friends, right? If it's safer to share information that way, I'm totally ok to communicate via FB messaging...just a thought
