Sunscreen question

What SPF do you use? (on you or DH, not your kids).

Do you buy a new bottle every year? --Heard on the radio a while back you are supposed to do this.

I'm going to a waterpark this weekend and want to tan but not fry as I will be in Texas in the 100 degree weather.

Re: Sunscreen question

  • I wear SPF 30 or 50, and I try to buy new every year.  We go through a lot, so that isn't normally a problem.  I find that even with the higher SPF, I still get a good tan, and I don't burn.
  • I use dermatologica solar defense booster lotion on my face every day--30 spf, and i use banana boat spray 30 spf for everyday running around.  If i'm going to be laying out at the beach or something (or spending the whole day outside), I usually still use 30 or 45 but then i'll use lotion and then spray or lotion for reapplication.  Oh, and yes, I buy new every year (usually just because I go through a lot).  I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to sun tan lotion.
  • Samething as we buy for Elsie.  It's spf 50.

We buy a new bottle or two every year.

  • I don't use anything less than 30 (most times I have 45).

We go through a lot and I don't normally have any leftover. It's better to have fresh bottles each year anyways.
