Maybe it's not my place to judge
since I am not a parent, but who brings a toddler to a 9:15 showing of Bad Teacher?
I have seen worse, but I guess as a social worker it proves why I have job security.

Also not a parent, but I totally plan on having a sitter for anything like that... that's just dumb. I mean, do you have to pay for them that young? And it's not like you can enjoy the movie because they aren't paying attention, so you have to make sure they don't ruin it for everyone else...
But how was the movie? It looked really funny.
I can't see bringing Sam to a movie for a LONG time, and even then it would be a G flick, and a matinee, because there's no way I'm paying $10+ for a ticket when there's a chance we might need to leave halfway through!
To date, we've been lucky enough to find a sitter any time we've wanted to go out to see a movie... who am I to judge, but if this was us, I wold either wait for a night when we did have a sitter, or just stick it out til it comes out on Blu-Ray. Geesh.

The movie was pretty funny. I didn't laugh as hard as bridesmaids, but it is good.
I think some of my friends brought their kids to the movie around 3, but it was a kid's movie during the day. (like MB said).
Mrs. Fuel, I wasn't trying to insult you. Would you bring him to 9:00 movies with bad language? 3yo have a special ability for repeating things at embarassing times.
I was leaving while the mother and tot were going to the movie, so I don't know if she stayed through the whole thing or was quiet.
Good to know. I haven't seen Bridesmaids either! Unless it's Harry Potter, I'm waiting for movies to come out on Redbox/Netflix, $10 a ticket is getting silly for a movie that you can see for free in a few months.
9:15 is late! I'd judge that too. Thta kid should be in bed.
I've taken the2 year old I nanny for to a movie recently and he did great. He sat the entire time, watched the movie and wispered when he had to talk to me. He was free too. Its certainly not for every kid though.
That's what I was judging!
There were times I was waitressing and we would kind of give the side eye to people with little kids that came in at midnight. However, they could have been driving home for a long trip or something and needed to get something to eat. The same could be said for late night store runs. I couldn't think of a reason you need to bring a kid to a 9:15 movie with boobs and bad language that gets out at 11.
Did not see it as an insult, just wanted to let you know that I have seen many different people take little ones to the movies with them.... 9:15 for a 3 year old would probably be close to bed time so my guess is that mother brought them with because they would be asleep before the previews ended.
We would also sit close to the doors in case he would not sleep or if he started to cry... if that was the case I would be pissed if the baby and mom stayed in the theater.
Why do it at all then? Why buy a ticket for your child if you just want them to fall asleep? Sounds like a waste of money to me.... or maybe I don't care to see a movie THAT bad...

We never had to purchase a ticket for him.
Why do it? Being a single mother at the time I enjoyed getting out of the house and watching something besides at the time Thomas the Tank!

If that's how you want to enjoy a movie, go right ahead. Like I said, not my thing... I can hardly pay attention to the TV when I'm at home with Sam. Regardless of the time or the reasoning, I'm not going to pay for a ticket when I'm spending more time worrying about what she's doing and how she's acting around other moviegoers than actually watching the movie itself.
