My post: Help me pick a bathroom faucet. PsiP and Poll

so freakin' exciting!  right?!

oh...it isn't?  darn.

Well help me anyway.  We can't chose between bathroom faucets.  Nesties to the rescue!

We need a single hole faucet for our master bath.  they are going to be attached to this vanity:

Buy Roberto Fiore La Corra Vanity at Designers Surplus.

Which will be on a floor covered with the basektweave at the bottom of this picture:

master bath tile - full layout

There will be a glass enclosed shower stall with the polished white tile on the surround, and the glass accent in the niches and some sort of stripe we haven't decided on yet.

Finish will be shiny chrome.  (yeah yeah, finger prints, etc.  Don't care)

Choice A:  Forte

Kohler K-10215-4

Choice B: Eva (imagine it without that bottom plate.  it's removable)

Moen 6400

  • I voted for B, but if there was a more angular option (like the one in the picture of your vanity) I would have voted for that.  I can't PIP because I use Chrome and I am lazy.

  • I said A because it seemed more streamlined to me.

    LOL, it's bad, I know.

But OMG your pictures are so freakin' cute!!  Are there more of those somewhere that I can squeal at?

Regarding the whole angular thing - I know the vanity skews pretty hard modern, but we're trying to pull it back a little more transitional.  I specifically DON'T want anything like in the picture.  The vanity itself completely derailed our original design plan, but we kinda fell in love with it, and we decided we can make it work without going full on modern.  Feel free to tell me I'm crazy.  We haven't ordered the vanity yet.  The tile is a done deal though.

  • I'm always afraid this kind would get all kinds of schmutzy...but if you can get past that...

Okay....gotcha.  Maybe a modern twist on "Annie, go fetch some water from the well"??

Feel free to ignore me, as I'm clearly unable to reel in my own taste.

And thanks re the pics!!  All I've seen is the sneak peak that Jen posted on FB last night; but there are lots more en route to my house. ;)

  • IMO, if you want to pull back from modern B would be a good choice, it's not quite as angular as you could go, but still has a hint of a modern design; but to me A is to curvy and just wouldn't look right at all.

  • I picked B. I'm kind of partial because we just used that in our new bathroom too. And, I picked it specifically because it tended toward modern, without being modern. but I was trying to pull the bathroom back a little from extremely modern.

In case you care, I LOVE modern. DH LOVES modern. We went mostly modern in our bathroom. But, we aren't planning on staying our house for a whole lot longer, so I was afraid modern would scare people off. And, our townhouse itself isn't exactly modern, so it would have looked a little out of place.

We did a glass shower door, black and white hex tiles, and this vanity and this top , subway tile in shower with light grey grout, and a glass tile black and grey accent row . Way more info than you wanted. Sorry!

That is why I picked B as well.  You can't fight the modernity of that vanity. B would look good. I liked the first one Rags posted as well- the arching one- I think that the arch would echo the lines of the basins and the curves in the tiles as well.

Ok, this makes sense.  I do like the curvy one that Rags posted.  (and I'm relieved she deleted that first one...I was concerned)  MH is headed to the faucet place tomorrow while I'm at work to finalize our order, so I'm gonna pass these thoughts along and pawn the final decision off on him.

Sometimes I hate that he has opinions about the house stuff becauseit means I have to comprimise, but times like this when I can't make a decision, I'm glad he's opinionated.  :)
