To appease Ms. Tigers... ;)
Were you allowed to use/hold/play with sparklers when you were younger?
We were not. My mom didn't let us, and told us horrible stories enough that I cringe when Jim brings them out on the 4th for the kids to see.

Re: To appease Ms. Tigers... ;)
We did. It was fun.
Mostly they involve burnt eyeballs and fingers. Of little people with parents who weren't paying attention. You want my mom's phone number? I think she relishes in telling gorey tales.
Also, y'all are not meeting Tigers' request. One question an hour from each of you. Get to work!
We had sparklers, poppers, and snakes. I HATE HATE HATE sparklers. I used to hate holding them and feeling the little stings on my hands. I never saw a point of them. i never said anything about it, I would just do my few for the year and call it good. I was never afraid of them, I just thought they were more annoying than anything. (gosh I sound like a grump)
Putting them in the water and hearing the sizzle was the best part.
We will get poppers for the girls this year.
The point is that you can right your name in the air with fire!!
Yep, we played with sparklers. It was fun.
