I haven't been paying attention other than the nightly recaps on the news. But, I'm working from home today and read online that if Casey was going to testify, it would be today, so I turned on the TV in the background. She didn't testify, the defense rested, but apparently the prosecution has found evidence and a witness to testify that Casey's mom was actually at work when she claimed that she was at home doing searches for chloroform (which the prosecution initially claimed Casey had done). So, it would seem that her mom lied under oath. I think that pretty much nails the lid on the coffin, so to speak.
What are your thoughts on the trial- do you think that she did it, intentionally vs. accidentally, what do you think happened, etc.
I think that she accidentally killed her via a combination of too much xanax and chloroform, and then tried to cover it up. I really feel for the grandfather, he's been accused of abusing his daughter and hiding his granddaughter's death, attempted suicide, etc. He just seems so sad. I hope that he can find some peace after this, and that people will leave him alone.
Re: My Contribution- Casey Anthony Trial
I have been reading a lot of coverage of the trail... it is morbidly fascinating. I have also beel following Dr. Lillian Glass' blog. She is a body language expert and has been commenting on various witnesses behavior.
I agree with you. I think Casey killed Caylee accidentally and then tried to cover it up.
I think both her and her mother are lying liars who lie. Her brother seems like the most sane one in the family. Now, this is just from watching recaps. I haven't been extensively following it.
Can someone explain the deal with the chloroform? How could she accidentally kill her with chloroform? what exactly was she trying to do?
I think that she was using it, in combination with sedatives, to put the baby to sleep so that she could leave her home alone while she went out to do whatever it was she was doing.
If that's what she was using the chloroform for then that is just sick. The whole thing is disgusting and if she "accidentally" killed her then I hope she gets what she deserves.
My guess is that as chloroform can be a narcotic, you can OD on it like any other drug. Or maybe there was too much chloroform and not enough oxygen?
I've been trying to stay away from reading or watching anything about the trial, it's sickening the details I have heard about Casey and her lifestyle/lack of parenting, etc. It just makes me shudder, that poor little girl.
