4-Day Weekend?
Is that a common thing? I've never had one for a holiday weekend like this. I just get the 3 days, pretty much.
Saturday morning I've got a mammogram appointment (finally rescheduled). Then in the afternoon, Eric and I are going to the Meadowlands Fair with my sis & BIL & nephew. He'll love the tigers & the pig races! Oh, and Cake Boss will be there Saturday at 7, unveiling a cake for TLC!
Sunday I'm doing glitter tattoos in the afternoon at a country club party.
Monday I'm doing face painting in the afternoon/evening at a different country club party.
So really, I'm working most of the weekend too.
Re: 4-Day Weekend?
I think it's more popular in the academic world, but I know a lot of people that will take a vacation day so they can have a longer weekend for summer holidays.
Sounds like you're going to have a fun weekend!

I have a quasi- 4 day weekend, in that I'm off tomorrow, saturday and monday. I have to work Sunday. We have the boat weekend, and a stupid wedding to go to on Saturday.
DH sometimes gets 4 day weekends around holidays, as does my dad. They both work for companies that do 9-80: they work longer days, but they get every other Friday off. It's nice, and I'm jealous.

It's a four-day weekend for some military...but since H is security, he won't get all the days off. Most of them have to work the 4th, I think...but he does get Fri-Sun off. I only get Monday.
Besides a concert in Dallas on Saturday, we've got no major plans. Which is fine with me...I'm just ready for some time off.

Ha...I have a long long weekend of about 8-9 more weeks.
H goes back on Tuesday.
We will be *hopefully* ordering or picking up crib (I hope I hope)- my parents are paying so I need to see if they will pick it w/ me or at least order it this w/e. H will likely go to home depot to get a border or paint to paint the nursery...and IF we get the crib, I'd like to get it assembled- since I got all the nursery bedding today. Hooray!! And assemble our glider if it comes tomorrow.
We have a BBQ at one of my college buddies house- not sure if we're going. MH's brother is having a bbq on Monday, so we may stop by.
Other than that, not a whole lot.
I do, but only because I'm still 32 hr/wk. I wish I worked tomorrow. Sure could use the moolah!
We have nothing fun planned this weekend...next week will be more eventful. C goes to NC for a wedding so I'm taking the cats and the munchkin to my hometown Thurs night-Sunday.
