Baby Shower Favor Ideas

I'm hosting a baby shower for my SIL with my mom and we need a cute favor idea. The baby is a girl  and the nursery is jungle themed (with brown and pink) which we're tying into the shower. We want something simple and fairly inexpensive. Thoughts?

Re: Baby Shower Favor Ideas

  • I prefer food favors - something I know I'll use and won't just end up as clutter or a Goodwill donation. Maybe you can make something at home and then just package it with something jungle themed, like these baggies ?

  • When my SIL was thinking of a jungle theme, I saw that Michaels has some jungle themed molds. You could make chocolate molds and just wrap them in cellophane & tie it with a ribbon in one of her colors. Michaels also has ribbon with monkeys on it that would work too.
  • I was thinking something with food too because useless trinkets can be annoying. We did food favors for my wedding. My mom makes the BEST chocolate chip and oatmeal cookies so we put one of each in a cute bag and tied it with blue ribbon. We could do cookies for the baby shower as well.

Sounds perfect. I would love getting cookies as a favor :)

  • One of my favorite shower favor ideas was when my aunt gave one of these:

with a little ribbon, and a cute baggy of loose leaf tea to the guests.  The tea-spoon looked like a baby rattle.  It was so cute and creative.  And I still have the tea spoon and I think of the baby mama every time I use it to make tea...and the little girl is going to be 7 in a few months.

For my two recent showers, the favors were packets of wildflower seeds, and little potted Thyme plants.

    That's all I've got :)

  • how funny, i was just at my cousins shower last weekend.  hers is a monkey theme..they used brown and pink as the shower colors.  so for the favors they filled these tiny little mason jars(like maybe 2 inches tall or so)...with banana shaped candies.(i think they're runts)  and on the top there was a sticker with a picture of a monkey and it had "monica's baby shower & the date"

    i thought it was cute.

  • A tin (or bag) of animal crackers would be awesome!

    Animal Crackers? :)

LOL! Great minds think alike. I hadn't read your post but thought the very same thing.
