Tigers and GRSP and demanding questions, and I can't think of anything besides this old standby.
So, what are you reading? How are you liking it so far?
Re: What are you reading?
I recently finished Pillars of the Earth. It was a pretty good book overall, but there were a few aspects about it that held me back from really loving it.
I'm currently reading Hawaii guidebooks.
After that, I'm going to read Heidi, though. I read it when I was a kid, but my mom found a very old copy at my grandpa's house (it was owned by my great great grandmother) and gave it to me. She said the writing style in that version is very old-fashioned and it's interesting to read. So, I'm going to read that next.
I am about 1/2 through Game of Thrones by George R R Martin.
And I am loving it! Even though I watched the series on HBO and the show closely follows the book, I am still obsessed with it.
(I also have 2 baby related books and 1 breast feeding book I am reading too. But I don't count those.)
Hm, now I think I should make some tea and sit on my back deck and polish off a couple more chapters. My chores can wait!
Babyproof, by Emily Giffin... having trouble getting into it. Other things occupy my time and thoughts to the point that I don't have time to sit and read fiction, so it's been on the back burner for a long time.

Groups: Process and Practice It's a textbook. Wheeeee!
I'm also sneaking in a reread of a chapter here and there of Anne Lamott's "Grace (Eventually): Thoughts on Faith." Gracious, I love her!
Kasa, I read Heidi for the first time when I was 10. That was the month that I got a puppy for my birthday. Heidi the beagle was an awesome pal.
I just finished "Life's a Beach" by Claire Cook. It was ok.
Now I'm reading "The Front Porch Prophet" by Raymond Atkins. It's ok.
These are some of the free books from nook's Free Fridays.
Eat Pray Love. It was a Christmas gift from a friend and she asked me a month ago how it was, but I had to confess I hadn't even read a page. I figured I now would be a good time to read it.
It's ok so far. It's not the usual type of book I read, so it's kind of hard to get into.
Heidi sounds like a great name for a beagle. I bet her howls could match any yodels coming out of the Alps.
That's the only book I can remember starting and *not* being able to finish.

The Baker Street Letter by Michael Robertson. I stumbled upon it at the library and I was intrigued by the Sherlock Holmes connections
Next on Deck is Silver Gil by Elin Hilderbrand
We haven't done this in awhile, so I'm glad you asked!
I'm currently reading All The Little Live Things. I think it's headed for a 3 star rating. I really liked it at first, but after about halfway, it sort of lost track a bit. It's never a good sign when you stop caring about characters. This has been a very disappointing year for reading for me. I'm having a hard time getting into anything. I'm beginning to think the problem is me and not the books.
