What to do with broken stainless bottle?

DH dropped his stainless Camelbak bottle, now it is dented and leaks (double wall).

Any ideas?  I remember for a while you could trade in your stainless for a discount on a Sigg or something, and other than throwing it in the recycle, any thoughts?

Something about me makes it tough to put it in the recycle bin!

Re: What to do with broken stainless bottle?

  • Did you look to see if Camelbak guarantees their bottles and can trade in for a new one?

It might seem a bit excessive for a small water bottle, but do you have anywhere near you that takes scrap metal?  You could take it there to be recycled back into something and maybe get a small amount of cash for it.  We scrap a lot of our stainless here at work, but it's large amounts, so I'm not sure how worthwhile it would be for something so small...
