I decided to focus a little more on my legs in this week's workouts. I did 100 calf raises on Wednesday and I can't walk. It didn't hurt when I was doing them at all.
I'm 100% serious when I say I can't walk.... when I stand up I nearly collapse. As I take steps I am all doubled over like an elderly person.
Ouch.
...BUT, yay for 1/2 day Friday and the long weekend!

Do any of the FW girls take the Star Telegram? We used to, but now I want to start up again with college football season right around the corner. Just wondering what everyone pays. In the past, the published website prices can be negoitiated and I was just trying to ballpark what deals others get.
I love Hanging With Friends. It's much more fun than Words but I still play both.
And I agree with Tiffany. Half day today and a 3 day weekend makes for a happy Dana!

This morning I saw the mean dog that attacked Crispin last week. The lady didn't even say anything, and it kind of made me mad that she wouldn't even ask how Crispin is doing. And, she could barely control her dog - he was scratching at the sidewalk trying to cross the street and get us! She just kept dragging him down the street. I am not one for animal cruelty, but something needs to happen with that dog, because it is out of control, and it looked to be past the point where obedience training would help. There's a guy in my neighborhood who carries a cane on his dog walks, even though he doesn't need it, and now I'm wondering if this dog is the reason for that!
I got a mani/pedi yesterday and I don't like the color. When I got home it looked a little too orange-y. If you know me, I HATE orange - it's the devil's color.
My plan is to go back today to see if they'll change the color without charge, but if they do then I'll pay it. I think it's only like $5.
That's all i got...I'm boring!

Hanging with friends is fun times! I'm glad to get a couple more games going (before I was just playing DH and my brother).
My boss just moved up our meeting so that we can shut down early, yay for that!

Angie, that is so sad. Women with dogs they can't control is one of my pet peeves. No pun intended.
Tiffany, I feel your pain. Yesterday I did some weights, went to kickboxing and then took a 30 minute ab class at lunch. I woke up so sore today I had to skip my workout. Which was fine because I can make it up tomorrow--but I've decided I can't work out 5 days a week straight. I'm too old.
Work is weird today. It's going to be a Freaky Friday so sure. Luckily, I'm on vacation after today!

Sarah it's a hangman game you play against other people. Its a free download on the iPhone and it's a lot of fun. I started playing with my mom and DH and now I am even more addicted because I have new friends to play!!!
Yeah, I had been wanting to get the paper delivered and this woman from the ST was set up in Kroger. I paid for 6 months in advance so she gave me the silver Press Pass and a $20 Kroger gift card as well. It was pretty sweet. Maybe call and ask them for that price?
This is not ok. She really needs to do something else with her dog! Is there an HOA you can complain to? One of my dogs get overly excited when he sees another dog and barks and pulls on his leash (he's not agressive, he just wants to play but it looks like agression) if I see someone else with a dog I just turn another direction so he never has the option to freak out like that. I can't understand how soeone whos dog really is agressive would just ignore the issue like that!
Oh, and I got to sleep until 10 today and it was a-MAH-zing. H is leaving the office about 1 today so we are going to lay out and enjoy the day. AND, I've already gotten in a workout! So far my day is going better than yesterday.
I agree. Mine is the same way and I actively take opposite routes or if there is no escape I at least divert to the other side of the street when I see another dog coming. I also typically wave and apologize profusely.

I'm the same way. Even though Gypsy is so small, when I see other dogs I try and walk the other way.
