I can't believe it's 9:40 and no one has said good morning yet.
I'm taking wagers on when my boss is going to leave today. He's out all next week and I'm pretty sure that he's going to bail around 2:00.
Last night, I made and entire scarf in three hours using the world's largest knitting needles. The are a size 50 and I swear they are as big around as a half-dollar. It makes a very loose stitch, but it goes very fast. I'm going to try them again but using more strands of yarn. I used two last night, but I think four might be better.
This weekend, we are going to see Wicked and I am very excited. We've been invited to two BBQs on Monday. I'm going to try to go to one (it's out of town) before Jim gets off work and then we will go to the other for a little bit. What do you all have going on?

Happy Canada Day!
I got in a little late this morning. I broke my bathroom faucet this morning and had to deal with that before coming in to work. It's a faucet in a bathroom that we were planning to remodel at some point in the future so I guess this gives us a little more incentive.
I'm counting down the hours until I can get out of here. I think there are only a handful of people in my office today. I plan on doing a little bit of work and then make packing lists so that I don't forget anything when I'm trying to run out of my house later this evening. Have a great long weekend everyone.
I'm off for Canada Day and just relaxing around the house. Later today, I might go to the festival for a bit with my work friend who is moving tomorrow.
Tomorrow should be really hot and steamy so I'm going to go swimming at a friends and shop for door prizes for her bridal shower next weekend.
Sunday I'm going to set my alarm to get up early for my long run before it gets too hot. Out the door now for today's run!

I am so ready for the weekend. I don't really have a lot planned but 3 days sounds fabulous. I am going up to see my In Laws at their home this weekend. It should be fun they live on a lake, have a boat and cook great BBQ. I'm planning on bringing some homemade pralines with me to share.
Squee! It's Canada Day and my first day of summer vacation! Whee! In spite of that, I got up at 8 to do some weight training. I've definitely seen a difference in my abs in the past two weeks, which is very, very exciting for me.
Right now, I'm in the process of making lunch for our picnic. We're going out to High Park to go sit in the shade and play with our frisbee.

Happy Friday and Happy Canada Day!
Today's my first day off in between jobs; I made myself a healthy protein pancake breakfast, then hit the gym for some weights. I'm now going to make a marinade for tonight's dinner. After that, I'm going shopping for new suits (yay for 4th of July sales!).
Yesterday was a mixed day--I was happy and sad. My immediate supervisor, who is also one of the people I travel with, wrote me a note at the end of the day apologizing for not being able to say good-bye in person because it was too hard for him, but that keeping in touch is not an option. It made me cry, and I was teary the rest of evening once I got home. There are people I'm going to miss, definitely.

I am hoping to get out of here early today so just working away to get everything done.
Buddy is at the vet today getting his teeth cleaned so I am of course a nervous wreck right now waiting to hear he is awake.
This weekend we are pretty low key which is not a normal 4th for us but the typical things we do just don't sound appealing to me this year. I am hoping we can get started on the nursery and have a date night. I also have a ton of baby clothes from my shower last weekend along with other laundry to get done.

Fun night tonight at Canada Day in London celebrations, and looking forward to chowing down on some poutine and Tim Hortons while listening to some good Canadian music. I even dug out my old Molson I am Canadian t-shirt for the occasion
But can't make it too late tonight, as we're up bright and early tomorrow morning heading to Croatia for a week. Should be a relaxing week, exploring the old cities and lounging in the sun on the beach.

I really toyed with the idea of calling out of work today, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I feel like I got hit by a bus. Hopefully this weekend will be plenty of lounging and sleep. I know for tonight, I need to start getting our rooms back in order. My whole closet was purged onto the guest bed, so it needs to be sorted through and put back in order. Maybe date night with teh hubs after?
Tomorrow I'm hoping to clean up my car from all the vet visits with the dog and then maybe some pool time with our nephews or over at my aunt's house with my family. I haven't figured out which place will be easiest yet.
The rest of the weekend is up in the air, except for a wedding Sunday night. I have to say, I'd really prefer if our friends would leave our holiday weekends free and stop scheduling weddings on them. Convenient for them, but probably not for everyone else. Grrr. Should be good food at least.

I'm feeling a bit lonely today. Paul didn't get the day off (boo) so I'm alone all day. All our neighbours and friends are off camping or at the beach for the long weekend and I'm just sad I couldn't go anywhere. I guess the good news is that we could have a baby any day now. My mom's not getting here til Monday though, so I'm going to try to keep him in until then.
Nothing planned this weekend besides getting ready for my Mom to arrive and getting the house ready for the home birth. We may go to a swimming/bbq party on Sunday, depending how I feel.

Somehow I am running late today, even though I am on vacation. The dogs woke me up at 6 this morning, but after they went out I convinced them that they really could go back to bed and Ed and I got to sleep in until 7:30. Then he headed out to play golf and I lounged for awhile.
I just got back from a three mile run, and am running late since I have to meet people for lunch in an hour and haven't showered...and lunch is half an hour away. Whoops...and notice I am nesting rather than getting in the shower. Oh well...
This afternoon I need to do some housework and then tonight Ed and I are going to see the new Transformers in IMAX...at 10:10 (that is super late for me...) Then tomorrow we have to go pick up a new minivan for his company and will probably do lunch and a little shopping. Sunday and Monday will just be relaxing...no real 4th plans.

The rest of my group (there are 5 of us) is on PTO, my manager and director are on PTO, so I have no adult supervision and will be leaving at noon. Ha.
We're going for a bike ride with friends this afternoon, then using a groupon to a local brewpub for beers and food on the patio. Sunday is a bbq at BIL's house, then we're hosting a few friends on Monday. And finishing the patio somewhere along the way.
Let the weekend begin!
