I have a friend that could really use everyone's thoughts and prayers right now. She has already been through so much, and she just found out more devastating news.
I'm not sure if you all remember the young woman from Prairie View A&M who was murdered by her boyfriend, and then he BBQ her body on his back patio. He lied to police and strung her family along for days. I graduated high school with her sister and cousin and they are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. Her sister testified at the trial and has been so strong throughout all of this.
Yesterday her sister, Gayla, posted that she took her son Zarious(she calls him Pooh) to the doctor because he hasn't been feeling well, not walking straight, not eating, and has been in a lot of pain. Well the doctor told her that there was nothing wrong with little Pooh, and he was just suffering with middle child syndrome. Well that really pissed her off, and she called another doctor to make appointment for later on in afternoon yesterday. She posted last night on FB asking for everyone's prayers, because what was initially diagnosed as middle child syndrome from a douche bag doctor turned out to be Leukemia. They're not sure what kind of Leukemia yet, they were going to do spinal tap today and take bone marrow today. When she posted last night they were already at Texas Childrens, and he was already undergoing a blood transfusion.
If you could please spare some thoughts and prayers for my friend, her son Zarious and their entire family? She has been through so much already I cannot imagine what she is going through right now!
Re: T&P for a friend.
Exactly. Good thoughts and prayers headed their way.
She should send the diagnosis to douche doctor with a "thanks for nothing." I guess I'm mean like that.
call me mean too Almond! Thoughts and prayers coming your way! I have two friends that survived leukemia and went on to live productive lives. :-) I pray the same happens for her!
That's awful. I hope he files a complaint against stupid doctor.. What the heck is "middle child syndrom"?
Prayers for them.
this exactly,
I am so sorry for their diagnosis and I pray for their medical team to have wisdom.
Leukemia can be a tricky thing to diagnose because it is sometimes masked by other things. BUT...a simple blood test can point them in the right direction...quickly.
I'm glad she didn't listen to her doctor and trust her instincts. My cousin was in the same situation when her doctor kept treating her son with antibiotics. They went with their gut and got a second opinion. He is now being treated for Leukemia as well.
Can you find out this doctor's name so no one ever sees them?
Lots of love, hugs and prayers said for them!!!
