brazilian wax tomorrow!
so my DH has been gone 3 weeks and is coming home on Monday... I want something to surprise him so my friends convinced me to get a Brazilian wax! I'm a little nervous. Any tips for those who have done it? Getting ridiculously drunk before? finding some Xanax somewhere?

Definitely take some Advil before hand, that will help. If you're really afraid of the pain, you could find out if your salon has any sort of numbing gel - the place I go to does, you apply 15-30 minutes before hand and it does help take some of the sting out of it.
for next time- take 2 advils an hour before
no caffeine the day of
avoid doing it the week before your period, the skin is more sensitive.
It's waxing ALL the hair off from your navel to your crack and everything in between!
I am actually an esthetician and drinking alcohol makes it WORSE! Alcohol dilates the capillaries in the skin cause it to be more painful and you could possibly bruise and lift the skin. So no drinking!
Taking advil an hour before is good. Schedule it to be done right after your period when your threshold to pain is a lot stronger. Find someone with lots of experience or that specializes in brazilians and that uses hard wax will make it way less painful!
I know many people think the longer the better with hair growth before hand. But really the longer the hair is the more it will hurt. So 10-14 days of growth after shaving is perfect. Or 1/4 of an inch!
And numbing creams don't work! It's a placebo! You might as well put toothpaste on your crotch for the same "tingle" effect. Ha ha
And RELAX. The more you hype it up the worse it will be!
Then is there something I can do/ask for just for the inner thighs and around my anus?
well your thighs would be a bikini wax I think. And for the other part, I think you would have to talk to the salon about that.
I didn't drink any alcohol! After reading the PP, I'm glad I didn't! My husband came home last night after being gone and he was totally surprised. The look on his face was priceless. Annnnnd he spent wayyyy more time down there on me!

The first one can be pretty interesting, and uncomfortable! But the more often you go, the less they hurt. It also depends on how coarse or fine your hair is.
