you cloth diaper hippies will love this: hell hath frozen over

Owen is wearing these RIGHT NOW: Blueberry cd training pants. BUT....I swear....the first time he poops in these, I'm not doing it anymore.

He does look adorable in them. I am sure Robyn, Kendra, Nancy and Holly are smiling ear to ear, and Amy is probably on her way to do an intervention on me.

Umm..... I think the blueberry trainers are about a half way point. They really just keep pee from puddling on the floor when your kid decides not to pee in the toilet.

AND ----  Why didn't they have cute prints when Owen was wearing these? We just have boring white and blue ones. But I have to say - I friggin loved those things. At first we just got the plain cotton ones at Target. What a waste. The blueberries were awesome.

    Hope you like them!

  • Ry has a diaper in that same print. So cute!

What made you go that route instead of regular underwear?

  • thats why I bought them - he will pee his underwear and it soaks and hits hte floor before he realizes he's doing something. I just wanted something between a pull up, and regular undies.

And it was an impulse buy. they are cute!!

This is what happens when you start hanging around a cloth diaper store!  ;)

I hope they work for you and that you like them. I friggin loved them. I think they did a lot for my patience and kept Owen on the straight and narrow. The good part about not having any cute prints when Owen was using them is that they're all gender neutral and Amelie can wear them too. But if there are cute girly prints you bet I'm going to be buying those up.

    Yay for impulse buys! :-)

  • Nancy, there are cute girl prints :) I had a hard time ordering the other night, NOT just ordering a bunch for Mara.

  • How much are they?  They're adorable!  I think AJ is close to being ready.
  • They are $15 and some change - kinda pricey - but I guess this is the norm with cloth diapers, and I figure hey - I can always resell them when we are done, right?

Owen peed himself within 10 minutes of having them on. He knew he did it, told me he did it, and the bonus for us was that it didnt have time to leak onto his shorts (like big boy underwear would, pee everywhere down the leg, on the floor). I think that the pullups are just too much like diapers for him.

Pull-Ups are diapers. They don't feel when they're wet. When we switched to 100% cloth (BumGenius Organics) it was only a month until Owen was potty trained. Of course.

  • I think you have a very valid point.  I agree I could not use pullups with Liz because she just thought they were diapers and didn't care.  Who wants to clean pee up off the floor all day/night.  Those are adorable!

  • K knew the pullup was like a diaper and would pee accordingly.

If he poops just flick it in into the toilet.   I doubt you will think it is that big of deal.
