Fall GTG: OOTers update
Well looks like we're well on our way to NYC! We have trains booked, rooms booked and now we'll have to get onto figuring out what to do with our time!
For those of us arriving Saturday, who of the NYC girls will be interested in coming in to see us? Right now a bunch of us are arriving around 3, so we'll be around for late afternoon, dinner and drinks :-)

I could do dinner! If you get in around 3 we can plan for like a 5:30/6 dinner should give you all time to get settled and maybe take a little nap (esp those who had to get up at the crack of dawn)
Thanks it was Liz's idea- she has one but a margarita marker for Mel, so I changed it up and had a glass of wine instead :-)
Liz is the earliest departing of the train group I believe, then Stacy and Danielle. I'm fine with whatever, leaving just before noon to get to Philly so my trip isn't terribly long. Once Melissa and Amanda have their arrival times then we could nail down dinner time.

My flight gets into NYC around 1. So I'll be meeting up with Stacy and maybe the rest of the ladies at Penn Station!

OMG - I can't stop smiling about this!!
This is such a great idea :-) I am definitely up for hanging out on Saturday evening. I'm sure whatever we decide to do, it's going to be a blast!! The timing sounds terrific too, as we can all go to our hotels and drop off our stuff and freshen up...NYC here we come!!!
You guys want to hear something funny? I was just saying to H yesterday how neat it will be to put "voices" to the faces/comments that I've been seeing for well over a year now
I don't really have to get up early. I'm picking up the train in DC with Danielle at 11:30 so I probably won't leave my house in Richmond until 9 or so.
We are staying near the Times Square area, so any restaurants in that area would be walking distance, but I think we are all probably okay taking public transportation as long as we know where we are going.
We also need to figure out where we are getting together on Sunday with the whole group.
I can't stop smiling thinking of this either! We are going to have such a blast!
I wouldn't mind seeing Central Park. I'm sure we'll pop around Times Square since we're so close.
Let me tell you I am so grateful for having this in the works for two reasons- 1 it keeps me distracted from the vacation countdown (leave next Friday!) and 2 It makes me smile and happy while I'm POed here at work. This will help me get through the day! Love you ladies! And yes I can't wait to put a voice to the names/ comments and faces!
Mel should we add cell #s to the nestie info sheet or would everyone prefer an email with #s so we will be able to get in touch with each other?

I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to take the bus or the train down to NYC. There's a train that gets into Penn Station at 1:44 so I can hang around until the other girls get there. I'm ALL up for dinner and drinks with any ladies that can make it.

A10 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination: San Francisco!
Once we have a confirmed # I will look into some places that can hold all of us for brunch and some other thoughts on where we might want to go. But I don't want to book something without being sure how many we need to accommodate. So many NYC restaurants are SO tiny that we need to keep that in mind!

Can I just say that I'm jealous!! You girls are going to have a blast!!
There is just no way we can afford it right now with everything going on. Plus, I don't have any vacay time until December.
Aww! You guys who can't make this one will be with us in spirit - we'll be sure to raise a glass to all of you ladies' being able to join us on the next GTG :-))
And we should definitely post pictures! I'm bringin my camera along and I have one in my phone too so we can upload some quickly on Facebook.
