i am on an international kick. recently reread Like Water for Chocolate. Just finished "Please look after mom. http://www.amazon.com/Please-Look-After-Kyung-Sook-Shin/dp/0307593916 This was an incredibly haunting and moving book.

The Midwife's Confession by Diane Chamberlain... it's good, keeping me on the edge of my seat.
ive been reading some Meg Cabot books that are a chick lit and easy to read. I just started Boy Meets Girl. She has other ones as well.
I also have read the entire High Heels series by Gemma Halliday. Its like murder mystery meets fashion/romance. I really liked them. The first book is Spying in High Heels.

Jess have you read the Jessica Darling series starting with Sloppy Firsts? They are young adult but definitely chick lit.

Tapped out Sophie Kinsella, Marjorie Wickham (her other pen name) and Hester Browne (she has a really cute book called Swept off Her Feet and the Finishing Touches). I just downloaded a Marian Keyes book, thanks for the recommendation.
Sad, but true. Most of them have been this year except Meg Cabot (I'm on book 37 for the year). Before you think I have way too much time on my hands, I use the Nook App for my Iphone a lot at work when I'm hanging around, waiting for a surgery to start or when we have been delayed, and usually for a half hour at night.....although if its something I can't put down I've been known to read it from start to finish.
