Had my mammogram this morning. Problem is, I'm phobic about pain. I mean, most people don't like pain, but I'm the only one I know of who's out-and-out terrified of it. I didn't learn to ride a bike 'til I was 9 because I was afraid of falling and getting hurt. So I was kind of teary-eyed in the waiting room before my appointment. Yeah, I'm pathetic. In the end, it wasn't the death of me, but it definitely sucked.
Re: Yeah, it sucked.
It's yearly. And really, although they say to start at 40, they told me since my maternal grandmother had breast cancer, I could've started earlier. Yay.
Oh, and fingers crossed that it's not 'til next year. They did two of each side, and apparently because I'm on the young end and have never had kids, my breasts should be more dense than people who've had kids and/or are older, so if they didn't get thorough enough pictures, I may have to go back for more. Nifty.

Ugh.....
Sorry it sucked and is now annual. I'm not looking forward to this. I've had 2 surgeries to remove growths in my left breast, but I've always lucked out and gotten ultrasounds.
Can you have cocktails ahead of time next year? Loosen you up a bit? Tailgate a few hours ahead of time?
