Re: Happy Canada Day!

  • Happy Canada day (late) to you too!  We didn't really partake in any of the festivities this year.  However today we are headed out to the lake with my sister's and my niece for a hot dog roast picnic.   And we already hit up the farmers market this morning and got a HUGE ring of Ukrainian sausage :)   I heard the fireworks last night, but we couldn't see them from our house.

  • yeah we didn't really do too much as far as festivities go either. We went to my MIL's at the lake (we're still here, I'm fighting to get Wyatt to nap), had a hot dog roast and watched the fire works at the lake. Wyatt was fascinated before he finally fell asleep lol.

Earlier in the evening after supper we were sitting at the camp fire and a huge beaver came strolling up the path not even 5 yards away carrying a huge branch, so my MIL chased it with a little stick, and when it jumped in the lake she threw the stick at it... I've never seen something so funny in all my life and I was kicking myself for not having my camera at the time. I got it later and took a picture of it swimming away but it's not very good. I told her that it's not very Canadian to throw a stick at a beaver on Canada Day lol
