Anyone here growing watermelon?
I know this is a random topic! I got a watermelon plant and planted it Memorial Day Weekend. Its doing great but its still pretty small - much smaller than my zucchini and winter squash plants now. I'm just trying to figure out what its deal is. I know this summer hasn't been the warmest so I wonder if its just going to take a while? Is the upstate NY area successful at growing watermelons in general? Thanks for any insights.

yea i started to grow my watermelons in a 5 gallon bucket in mid June I'm experiencing the same thing as you i also wondering if it's normal to be this size compered to my cucumbers ,anyway please provide us with a update I'm kind of curious if something significant grow.
Do you have any growing tips/recommendations ?
