What do you think of these centerpieces?

I'm a bride on a budget (even though our final total is 100% over the original budget... oops). So for centerpieces, the reception venue said they'd let us use their hurricane globes. Haven't seen them in person, but have an idea of what they look like from a google search, and can't imagine passing up FREE. My idea is this... buying satin formal napkins that we will iron and place one in the center of each table (clover green, opened up into a 20 x 20 square) with one or two hurricane globes on them with either tall candles or floating candles (prefer floating but don't know if they'll fit), and then purple rose petals just sprinkled around. I wanted something more unique than candles originally, but it will lessen the stress the less stuff we have to bring in AND we have like 35 tables to decorate so buying a centerpiece for each one would get pricey. If you can envision the centerpiece, what do you think? Have any of you used satin napkins in your centerpieces?
