Hi ladies. I have been almost totally absent lately. I hardly even get out my laptop anymore honestly. Now that my belly is fully blossomed, I can't hold the dang thing in my lap!! But I thought I would pop in to see how things were going for everyone and give a little update with some pics (for those not on FB who haven't seen them already!)!
First, I think we are about ready for Elena to arrive, so now is the waiting game. I had a surprise shower from my coworkers last week and they had all put together and gotten our stroller, which was the last 'big' item on our list, YAY! The nursery is all set up:
For the most part, I can't complain about this pregnancy. I've only had the 'standard' expected things with no serious problems, although I must admit that the swollen/sore feet, swollen fingers and hip pain when I lay down are starting to get old! Fortunately those symptoms came on pretty late in the game, so still, not complaining, but boy would I love to sleep for more than an hour without waking up from hip pain! ![]()
I basically look and feel like I have a basketball stuffed in my shirt and the waddle is in full swing. Everyone says I don't look that big/close to delivery but baby has been headdown for about 2 weeks, I'm measuring right on time (was actually measuring a week ahead for a while there!) and the doctor estimates Ellie's weight at 6 lbs right now. Here's a picture from last week:

It has been a mad dash to get house projects done but I think we are almost there. In the last few weeks we primed/painted the porch railings and columns and yeseterday DH stained the decking:

So we will need to get porch furniture (YAY!). Our to-do list still includes installing a paver sidewalk to the new entry, landscaping, shutters, and painting the front door.
So that's what I've been up to! No big plans for the 4th, except finally packing my hospital bag and getting the car cleaned and carseat installed. Hoping to get that done tomorrow! Hope everyone is doing great!
Re: Update!
Yay getting close! We will have to get together after she is here so I can give you your gift.
I feel you on the hip pain, I have had it for the last 10 weeks or so. And PT isnt helping!
