Piiissseeddd

Excuse the lack of paragraphs, I'm on my cell.

H and I are at a bar with a friend of his whos just recently been fired. So we're all small talking and he finds out I'm a huge animal person. So he decides to tell me a story of a kitten he had. Eventually he decides he doesnt want it so they take it to the animal shelter, where the shelter asks for 100 dollars. I said well, you're surrendering an animal and they're taking on your responsibility. He goes well, im not paying 100 dollars so we took it and dumped it on the side of the road. Its probably been run over by now.

I want to slap him.  So here I sit, in this loud bar, reminding myself it's not ladylike to slam someones face into a table for being a pig.

  • Eww. What a wanker. That's a dumb policy at the shelter. Jerks who dump their animals at all aren't going to pay that. There should just be a national don't adopt registry, and if you've dumped a pet in the last however many years, you can't adopt.

That guy is a jerk. for dumping the cat and for telling you just to upset you. What did YH say?

I've seen a lot of military surprise homecomings. It wouldn't work on me. I always have my back to the corner and my face to the door. Looking for terrorists, criminals, various other threats, and husbands.
  • That makes me angry just reading it. I don't think I could handle being around that person.

  • H changed the subject before he could continue. I picked up my cell and just exited the entire conversation. I don't usually text or get on my cell when out with people but in this case I dont even care if it looked rude.

I swear I about cried I was so mad.

Sometimes being ladylike is overrated.  This sounds like one of them.
  • Why the hell would he feel the need to tell you this?

Like you would a appreciate a story where some a-hole dumps an animal on the side of the road. What a tool.

  • "Oooo so since I don't feel like dealing with your asss, can I go dump you by the side of the road and hope a car hits you too?  C'mon, it'll be fun and then we can tell everyone about it."

I wouldn't buy his story about the 100 dollars either.  He seems like the type that wouldn't batt an eye lying about stuff.

  • I would have walked out and left before I could punch him or say anything I may regret. I did this last year when one of H's coworkers wife pulled out a cigarette and started smoking while 8 months pregnant, if I hadn't left I would have unleashed a verbal tirade on her and probably embarrass my H lol.

    Oh, it got much worse.

I eventually got up and walked outside when he started going on about how proud he was to shoot women and children when he was in the Navy. I told H later I was beyound disguested and never wanted to hang out with him again. I don't think H will either. Apparently he was completly different from how he was at work.

As soon as we got in the car H was so apologetic and said how surprised he was I didn't give the guy a verbal lashing about the cat. I'm surprised too.

Wow.  How close is YH with this guy?  It sounds like the either the most serious case of showing my beer balls or he really needs some help.

Not close. H said they would joke around at work and talked about military stuff, (nothing like what he said last night though) having both been in. H has only hung out with him once outside work and the rest of his office was there. The guy got fired last week and asked H and I if we wanted to grab a beer with him, so we thought there would be no harm, since he was probably feeling down. Plus, he'd only had 2 beers. If that's how he really is sober that's just sad.

    Never. Again.
