I Made a Wreath Too!

Thanks girls for giving me the boost to make one!  I've been meaning to make one for a looong time, but was too lazy to get the supplies.  Since we're moving in the next week, I wanted to make some new decorations.  The white one is for over the kitchen window and the pink is for the downstairs bathroom.

ETA:  On my iPad, my pictures are turned sideways, but not on my PC.  I don't know!!

Re: I Made a Wreath Too!

  • They are so cute! I love the rainbow flowers! :-) My next wreath is going to be a baseball/Yankee themed wreath. I'm trying to "sell" them to my DH as decorations around the house (since my first four are for school). Hopefully having one themed to something of his liking will sell him on it! :-)

Question- How do you make the felt bow, like your purple one your pink wreath???

  • Cute! I love the white one with the rainbow flowers.

  • golden, here is a link to a bow tutorial I really like.  She uses magazine paper, but obviously anything could be used to make them.

I just hot glued all the pieces together.

  • Super cute!  I love that first one!
  • Love them! They are both beautiful. How did you make those flowers on the first one?

I used a piece of felt the length and width of a standard ruler and starting at the top right corner, rolled it to look like a straw.  I then begin rolling the fabric around itself, twisting the fabric as I go along.  I use hot glue to glue down everything.

Here's a tutorial that explains the method better.
