Ew ew ew, glad you were not home alone. I would totally sit on the counter till DH got home.

I keep finding geckos & lizards in my bathroom! It's weird, because they are always dead when I find them.. So maybe going from a sauna to a freezer is deadly. At least they wont eat me!

  • Gah. Gross. Although they are a little cute.

We had one under our pool when I drained it and put it away last week. I'm not sure what we'd do if there was ever one in our house. DH and I would both be screaming like little girls. We'd probably just move and buy all new stuff.

  • Yikes! I'm actually quite shocked this hasn't happened to us yet given all the brush right next to the house.

I would be yelling for the dog and cat and probably then swearing about their uselessness!

  • If you ever need field mouse removal, just let me know and I'll bring Freddy over. That's literally what his breed is wired to do. Snakes as well, and lizards!

    What breed is Freddy?
  • So Jax, wanna come over for lemonade (I can spike it if you like) tomorrow? LOL - just kidding.  But maybe in the future.

    Haha!

My parents own my dog's brother and parents. They got rats in their house when they remodeled the kitchen (because they had to rip down to the dirt). The dogs killed them all, for months and months.

My dog was there during a rat hunt, and was just confused. Why did I get the dud hunter?

He's a mutt, but a great deal of cairn terrier blood in him. They were bred in ireland to sniff out the varmints and shred them to bits. From the way he annihilates a squeaky toy, and the fervor with which he launches after squirrels... A field mouse would be small potatoes...lol

You know what this board needs? More Freddy. Maybe we could settle for vintage Freddy in his doggie cop uniform. But current Freddy is preferred.

PS - not that your DS isn't beautiful... what is she, in high school now? Gah. I feel old.

  • Ack! Ruby caught one in our back yard a while back. I didn't want her to bring it in the house or just sit out there and chew on it, so I had to get rid of it myself (DH was at work)  uggghhh
  • ack! that happened to us 3 years ago. dd was napping in the living room floor. i heard the dog sniffing at it and saw him following it. i sat and stalked it when it got into one of the dog's treat toys and waited for dh to come home to take it out.

i was about ready to move. i'm surprised we haven't had more since there's an open field behind our house.

  • DD would have grabbed a box and saved it.  Then separate the 2 houses her hamster has and put it in there as yet another pet.  She wants to rescue every creature on earth.

that mental picture made me laugh out loud. reminds me of a sex and the city where charlotte was dating a guy they thought might be gay, but wasn't. but when he saw a mouse they were both on top of the counter freaking out.

but it's funnier with you and your dh because he does not look like a girly man.
