Best: Spending the 4th at my In Laws and swimming in the lake.
Worst: Falling of the eating healthy wagon at their house. They always make such good food.
Best: Getting a lot done on the basement redo. The painting is finally finished! Fun cookout with friends on Saturday. Nice dinner with good friends on Friday.
Worst: The slowness of the group bike ride on Saturday; I wished they would have quit poking along. Also, the number of mechanical problems everyone had was disappointing and kept us out longer than we wanted. All of the parts haven't come in for my new bike (ugh!), and I was supposed to pick it up today. Crashing on my mountain bike on Sunday and still being sore and bruised.

best: had fun out with friends bar hopping, got some great deals on new clothes at the banana republic outlet
worst: dh was hungover on sunday which messed up all our plans. then yesterday, my car went through a huge puddle during the downpour, got stuck on the on-ramp to 285 for a little while then started back up and while we were driving, some of the parts freaking fell off. soooo now i need to get car stuff done.
Adventures of A Girl and Her Apron
best - 4 days off! We ate at the Buckhead Diner on Thur night. Then we hung out with our friends for dinner Fri night, & fireworks/pool party on Sat night. On Sunday we ate with the Elite Peachtree RR athletes at the Ritz. THAT was interesting. We ended up dining with three guys from Dartmouth. After MrBAMF made a fool of himself asking what "group" they ran with, one of the guys ended up being the #3 finisher.
On Monday, MrB did not finish in the time he wanted in the race, but he did awesome. Top 3% overall! He was aiming for 44 min, came in at 46 min.
worst - ZOMG it was hot on Monday! The P'Tree volunteers would not let me stay with my DH at the start line, so I had to go back to MARTA and head to the mile 6 point that I wanted to take pics from. Stood around there for an hour before the race even started. Then after DH came by, I walked in to Piedmont Park, and met up with him at my Co's tent (thank god for that spot! Gatorade! Fruit! Carbs!) and then we hoofed it back to MARTA, except the signage told us to go to the Midtown station, via 8th st, instead of walking up 10th (where the finish line is). OK, no prob.... yeaaaaaaaaaaaah... that was a mile+ hike to that point and EVERYone was heading that way. So we opted to go south to the North St station, except by this point, I had blisters from the humidity. My body could have kept walking all the way back, but not my feet. Totally sucked.

best: spending saturday and monday at the pool with friends, DH put our new light up in the upstairs landing, and we spend sunday with my mama for her birthday
worst: yesterday at the pool i put my phone into a towel so it wouldn't get splashed and wouldn't be right in the sun...then my friend picked up the towel not knowing it was there and dropped my phone into the pool =( i took the battery out and let everything air dry, but then i tried to turn it on...when DH was researching how long to leave it in rice to get all the moisture out, it said that trying to turn it on can short it out. so i'm pretty sure it's all my fault i have to get a new one, because i probably shorted it out not knowing, even though now there's no visible moisture after being in the rice =(
My Shopping Blog
Best: We bought an elliptical machine off CL Friday night. It was a great price and a good way to for us to start exercising. I used it Sunday evening and it works great (and I'm waaay out of shape, sigh).
Worst: DH worked the whole weekend, and we only got to hang out together in the evenings for a couple of hours. I also felt like crap for most of the weekend (various health issues) so I spent most of the weekend hanging out on the couch feeling sorry for myself.
On the flip side, over the past 3 weekends, DH has earned enough $$ from his side jobs that he's pretty much paid for our whole vacation next week. I'm so glad he has almost boundless energy and drive. most of the time.
Worst: Getting all the way to my parents house in Highlands, NC and realizing that even though they had invited us up there while they were on a cruise in the Baltic Sea, that they neglected to tell me that they had changed the locks! But, thank goodness we found a way in because I am sure all the hotels up there were probably booked up.
Best: Hanging out with my good friend who lives in Asheville, his wife, and their new(ish) baby girl! We met them in small town Brevard, NC at the 4th of July festival there.
best - wedding on saturday night was a blast
worst - i puked in hour one of our 12 hour drive on sunday - not my idea of fun!!! being exhausted when we got home on sunday. our fireworks got cancelled last night because of storms.
Best - seeing my family on Sunday, picking out new light fixtures on Saturday, and cookout with friends on Monday
Worst - running out of 2 prescriptions because the pharmacy was closed all 3 times we could stop by, not enough downtime, taking care of a terrified kitty
